My DollyBird vol. 14 arrived today! I haven't even looked through the book yet because I had to free this little guy right away. xD
I love the vintage plushies witht he vinyl faces that this little bear resembles.
I've not seen a Kuma in person until now ... He's so cute!! I think I may need to get one of the larger ones at some point soon.
AND I saw that there is eventually goign to be a rabbit one!?! eeek! I'm in trouble.

A figure if King Taharqa stands between the ram's folded legs, symbolically placed under its divine protection.
From Temple T at Kawa. Late Period / Napatan, 25th Dynasty (about 630BC)
Acquired from the Oxford University excavations in Nubia with the assistance of The Art Fund (NACF) AN1931.553

Two sets of paired sandstone rams were discovered in front of the first and second pylons at Temple T at Kawa. The Ashmolean example as paired with the statue now housed at the British Museum. The rams were found by Professor Francis Llewellyn Griffith during his excavations at the Temple in 1930-31.
