“Electrified: One Million Volts Always On” is the latest event surrounding the world-renowned illusionist, David Blaine, and we developed two data visualizations of the Twitter activity happening in response to it.
Taking place at Pier 54 on New York’s West Side, the live event allows the public to witness David Blaine standing in the middle of a million volts of electricity. Spectators can type messages to him, control the electricity around him, and help keep him alert.

"Using narrative as our lead, we will explore performance, illustration, losing, finding, and making (things up) to see where it launches us. Working collaboratively, we will investigate methods of spontaneously visualizing and presenting stories using tabletop theatre, storytelling with props, puppet shows, solo performance, etc. We will activate it all by concocting, reading, telling, reconfiguring, and dis-remembering diminutive to epic tales while exploring the potential of drawing, painting, collaging, fabricating, sewing, adhering, piecing, and reclaiming as creative impulse. Bring your skills, tools, raw materials, concepts, and big yearnings. We will share skills to collectively increase the abilities of the group and the materials that surround us to spur us toward reinvention and invite others to play. Don’t forget your lab coats, I’ll bring the capes."

Plotting the relationships between microbes as a force based graph (using traer physics). Although some types of microbes cluster together, there is a lot of gene sharing between groups. (this is the same graph as the previous picture at a different angle)
This poster depicts 6 chosen projects and shows important aspects/skills about each. It’s what I need to keep in mind when discussing these successful projects.

From Hyperstudio: Digital Humanities at MIT:
"This fifty-four-foot scrolling history, beginning with Creation, depicts time along a one-axis horizontal grid, with overlapping events laid out vertically. Perhaps most interestingly, the Carte annotates events with symbols used to visualize the cast of characters involved in his moralist history."

When teaching about the anatomy of the brain it works well to have a mock up. I am showing the class the left cerebrum. The model comes apart to reveal the inner sections of the brain

Number 6 of 61 "Visualize it Richly and Colorfully" doodles for the Index-Card-A-Day Challenge: Marker on 3"x5" card.
I'm working with 2 different themes a day and gave myself the added challenge of spending no more than 3 minutes creating each card.
The first theme is "Visualize it Richly and Colorfully". That is exactly what my business aims to do and is also a key part of creativity.
The second series is really "happy mail" to be sent to critically ill children from the following organizations: Hugs and Hope, Post Pals, Caring Bridge, and Send Kids the World.
The Index-Card-A-Day challenge is hosted by Daisy Yellow: daisyyellow.squarespace.com/icad/
