Jessie McLaughlin - track: Gratitude ft The Hics
"I decided to make a piece that spoke about all kinds of gratitude. The gratitude we each have for each other - when we care for each other, support each other, praise each other. The gratitude we have to musicians and performers, artists and poets who give us a way to connect with each other, a way to connect with ourselves. And finally the gratitude Simz speaks about in this song - gratitude to something bigger that gave her the talent to rise above an ordinary day to day life, to reach out for something completely extraordinary."
