Notations 21 by Theresa Sauer, from Mark Batty Publisher. I was really excited to get this in the mail, I'd seen a few blog posts and it looked great. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of issues of Source Magazine (pics here bit.ly/pREha6 and here bit.ly/p9O1l1 ) which first sparked an ...... Read more From: PaperPosts
Molly Knott - track: Tainted
"This piece is inspired by the reality of a tainted girl who has lost herself in the realm of good and evil, spoilt by the materialism of the music industry."
Pamm Hong, track: God Bless Mary
"Living LP is inspired by the strength of Little Simz in character and performance, the Living LP is a projection-mapped artwork that translates the ethos of growth and transformation using plants, patterns and lines. Ink, paint and foam filled with a macroscopic lens form the visual passage in which Little Simz recites lyrical homage to her forbearing neighbor 'Mary'. The effects in color, shape and pattern morph together in rhythm, as if staring into a rabbit hole. Living LP is a transformative piece exhibiting the portraiture of growth, celebrating sonic visual love."

A visualisation of data from the latest Australian census; each pennant graphs the number of children born to women in a single Canberra suburb (the wide end is 0, the narrow end is 6+). The bands show age groups of the mothers (youngest to oldest, top to bottom). Blogged here.
Locations of earthquakes near the big 2011 March quake, colored by time (blue early, orange/red later).
A cluster of quakes seem to have prefigured the big one, which then led to subsequent quakes around the region.

A kind of false start, as the webcam comes unstuck from the side of the window box it's sitting in, about six hours after being installed. I installed the camera sideways, in an effort to get more vertical resolution in the image.
Lovely visualisation via this app: playground.last.fm/demo/tagstube (subscribers only).
Best viewed bigger, obviously (or if that doesn't work for you, see it here: playground.last.fm/demo/tagstube/share?user=meish )
And I can explain about the Joe Jackson/Toto line. Really, I can.

The yacht is 49 metres long, consisting of four levels with an inner atrium. It is an example of the spatial planning skills we have in-house at PDC. It was rendered in V-Ray and is still very much a work in progress.
E. Percy Hallam who taught Music at the School for thirty-seven years. He composed a setting of "The Lord's Prayer" which he dedicated to the School and was sung every day at morning Assembly. He was organist and Choir Master at St Edmundsbury Cathedral until his death on 12th October 1957.
Being a member of the choir myself during the mid 1950s I had the highest regard for him and remember his fascination with intriguing ideas, and visualisation of the future architectural development of the Cathedral. A brilliant organist and a true gentleman.
