Arturo demoed a scenario in which a developer built a typical dev-designed app in VisualStudio: very functional but equally ugly. He pulled the XAML into Expression Blend and applied some beautiful graphics to produce this home page.
Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 running on Windows 7 Professional (64-bit). The editor uses the default font Consolas 8. The font itself is a proper monospace font, but I don't know why it is being rendered really ugly. WPF fault? It just looks rubbish. After a few minutes it is gets disturbing and IMHO impossible to stand for 8 hours a day.
