“She Wore the End Like a Gown” is a meditation on elegance born from destruction. This work emerged from my fixation with the contrast between ruin and ritual, decay and adornment. The crumbling architecture represents not only physical disintegration but also emotional, cultural, and political erosion. Yet, the figure stands in full regalia—her dress a cascade of blood-red defiance.

She is not mourning. She is moving forward.

I often think about how fashion becomes armor when the world feels uninhabitable. In this piece, I wanted to show that even when everything falls apart, the human instinct to make beauty remains perhaps as rebellion, perhaps as memory.

This Lamb is not preparing to flee or repent. He’s preparing to be seen.

The tie is not a symbol of conformity, but of willful composure in a crumbling world.

This piece is about the illusion of control. The Lamb knows the building behind him is rotting, knows his shirt bears the stain of previous violence. Still, he straightens the tie. Not out of vanity but to own the moment before everything falls apart.

In this work, I wanted posture to tell the story. There is no movement, but everything is about to move.

The protagonist here is both victim and volunteer, caught in a power structure that uses empathy and authority interchangeably. The blood on his face isn’t metaphorical; it is the cost of silence, of profit, of perfection. The “support” offered by those around him is as hollow as the fluorescent light above them cold, uniform, and unforgiving. This is not a moment of collapse, but of transformation: the point at which the individual ceases to exist and the machine takes over.
