"Visual effects artist works on a special effects"
Since my career is in visual effects industry (although not a direct contributor like artists), I thought I'd do some reportage style photo on artists' increasingly deteriorating working condition due to ever increasing pressure from Movie producers to create more extravagant and in larger quantity of visual effects in progressively tightening deadlines while the fierce competition among VFX studios keep the compensation pegged at lowest possible level.
Next time you watch a movie full of visual effects, remember that there have been artists pulling upwards of 100 hours a week for as long as couple months to push the movie out on time :)
