Label reads:" Estd. 1877 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant PHILIP HERMITAGE 1969 The climatic conditions existing through the latter months of 1968 and early 1969 resulted in the quantity of red grapes harvested for the 1969 vintage being very limited. Because of this, the 1969 Philip Hermitage is a blend of Hermitage, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, and was matured in 600 gallon oak casks until bottled in July 1971. This blend has produced a very unique wine; full bodied, fruity, with good balance and firm tannin finish.
