Label reads; "Lindeman's Hunter River Valley Burgundy. Bin: 2925. Vintage: 1964. This wine was made from Red Hermitage grapes grown at Lindeman's Hunter River Vineyards, and was matured in small oak casks until bottling in January, 1966. It is a light, soft flavoured, delicate Burgundy with a strong "earthy" Hunter character, and will continue to improve in bottle."

Label reads:" The 1977 vintage has produced White wines with full rich fruit character and the soft acid finish of the traditional Hunter White styles. This wine was made from Pinot Chardonnay grapes grown on our Short Flat vineyard. The juice was fermented cold and then transferred to new French Oak hogsheads until bottling. The use of small Oak has assistedin making a wine of the classic White Burgundy style. I believe this to be a truly great wineand one that will develop and improve if given a further 4/5 years bottle ageing. Murray D Tyrrell Winemaker"

Label reads: Estd. 1877 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant PHILIP HERMITAGE 1966 As far as can be determined, the hermitage grape originally came from Persia and it is now one of the main red grape varieties grown in the Rhone Valley in France where it is known as the "Petite Syrah" It is also grown extensively throughout Australia where it is renowned for the high quality of the wine which it produces in the Pokolbin district of the Hunter Valley. This wine, produced from the Hermitage grown on heavy volcanic loam on the slopes of Mount Pleasant is a full bodied robust dry red which should continue to age and improve for many years. It spent a proportion of its wood ageing in 65 gallon oak hogsheads before being bottled in February 1968. From the house of McWilliam made at our Pokolbin Cellars a fine vintage wine from the Hunter Valley district Australia McWilliams Wines Pty. Ltd.- Nett 1 pt. 6 fl. ozs."

Vintaged from Riesling grapes grown at Lindeman's "Ben Ean" and "Sunshine" vineyards in the Pokolbin area of the Hunter River Valley, N.S.W. It is a fresh, well flavoured, delicate Riesling, with attractive grapey bouquet and taste, and pronounced Hunter character. This wine was awarded Gold medal 1969 brisbane show. Silver meda 1969 sydney shw in the Export Table Dry White and Open Hock Any Vintage classes respectively, and may be enjoyed nor or cellared for many years for further maturity."
