The MFA in Visual Studies welcomes AA Bronson as part of the 2012-2013 Graduate Visiting Artist Lecture Series.
AA Bronson formed General Idea with Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal in 1969. The trio lived and worked together for 25 years, undertaking more than 100 exhibitions and public art projects. They were known for their magazine, FILE (1972–1989), their production of low-cost multiples, and their early involvement in punk, queer theory, and AIDS activism. In 1974, General Idea founded Art Metropole, a distribution center and archive in Toronto for artists’ books, audio, video, and multiples. Bronson’s solo work focuses on death, grieving, and healing. He founded the Institute for Art, Religion, and Social Justice at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Photography by Micah Fischer 13'

With the ending of the ice age 12,000 years ago, humankind began it's slow but dramatic reordering of the natural world for it's own benefit. From the hunting to extinction of various large mammals to the use of fire to slash and burn forests for farm land, humans have leveled mountains & forests for ore & wood to smelt various metals. To the forced movements of people via international slavery & the colonization of the New World, humans have industrialised nearly everything from war to the production of food and the very environments we live in. Through sound & imagery, we will depict the above over the course of 40mins with the intention of illuminating our place in time now and questioning what is too come.

Tive que desenvolver todo o estudo do logotipo para então fazer algumas simulações de aplicação da identidade visual em cartão de visita, papel timbrado, uniforme dos funcionários, fachada, etc.
I have made some visuals for fashion designer Ouafa Mouna, who is showing a collection at Laban - a small vintage boutique in Nørrebro tonight. My friend Ulrik called last night, so I only had approx 2 hours to create them. Based on Ouafa's look I chose a "tv-noise / film noir" theme.
