On February 21st I celebrated my one year anniversary on Flickr and at around the same time hit the 1K follower mark. Not going to lie this has led to a lot of introspection, but I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you.
In the beginning there was a bakery . This was my first upload as Lavender. The snap was taken at Winterset Hollow and in the absence of a Frogmore sim I've chosen instead to hang about in Sainte Rose Sur Mer. I don't remember much about the place but I'm sure it was a collaboration between Terry and Tolla . The place wasn't just beautiful, it introduced me to the idea that landscape photography in Second Life was a thing.
After that it was a hop, skip and a jump onto Flickr and the rabbit hole that all of you beautiful, creative people make. I am constantly inspired and driven to learn more because of you. More than that, my first life creative work is energised by this and I'm just so grateful for all of you. Thankyou all so much, may The Muses be with you <3

This last year in SL has really been an amazing one for me. My original intention was to seek therapeutic experience through sensory immersion in this beautiful world. That has grown and changed as I have pushed myself to connect more with others, and I'd just like to take a moment to say thankyou.
The Nature Collective has been a huge part of this journey. Not only have I found beautiful, inspiring locations to explore but also a wholesome community of gentle folk. They have encouraged and supported me almost from the minute I picked up a camera and it is safe to say I would not still be inworld if it were not for them. Thankyou
In the Grove Art Centre photo club I have found a group of unexpectedly like minded, creative and oddball folk. I have learned so much from and because of them. I have been challenged and nurtured in equal measure. I have been inspired and liberated (creatively). I owe you all so much, thankyou.

My exhibit at FAIR is now closed and this is the final piece. I would like to thank everyone at Focus Art Magazine and Galleries for giving me this opportunity. This was an amazing way to start the year and I am very grateful.
This picture really is a nod to my various obsessions with a particular focus on the moonlit sky. This sky (Specter Skies 'lunation' from the 'Stardust' pack) has been used and abused by me so many times Ive really lost count. In my opinion every photographer needs a moon as beautiful as this as part of their toolkit.
