Alpha Sea is the name of a second island attached to ShapeShifter at NGrid on the OpenSim. Its fauna is comprised of gargoyles, imps and dragons who are all awaiting their visitors...

Our new main store is located at this slurl:

slurl.com/secondlife/Syncretia%20Annex/154/127/2

You will land underwater when you get there. This is so that you become aware of the underwater landscape of the sim and hopefully explore it a bit. If not in the mood for that, simply fly straight up. The store is roughly 10 meters above sea level.

We shall miss Klein(SL) of course. But these are days carrying a lot of changes and decisions (hopefully sensible ones), and this move is all part of that.

Based on 17th century Vanitas paintings, this unisex outfit has many sculpty attachments, a mask and hat, pearl pendants, boots, a hand held skull, 2 separate garments, and one dark and one light toned furry skin. It also comes with a custom AO by Frigg Ragu and Alpho is showing some of the poses in these photos together with Grapho.

Avatars – can there be any doubt that we are the vainest of all creatures?

See them all together here:

And, of course, the outfits featured in these shots are available at the alpha.tribe store:

Please let it never be thought that at alpha.tribe we do not know our "p"s from our "q"s when it comes to modernist design! Thus, no matter how outlandish the output, the tenets of the Bauhaus school are never too far from our minds - often in the way of a guilty conscience, alas... So, here I am strenuously trying to make up for the past misdemeanours of my tribes people by going full on destijl!

Included in the box are several mohawks, his 'n hers g-strings, a bustierre, a pendant, one huge and one somewhat more sensible skirt for ladies, as well as a destijl lattice skirt system for both ladies and gentlemen, back ornaments, arm braces and some very strange destijl prim shoes. Oh! And yes! My very latest innovation: Prim manicure!

And yes yes, I am well aware of the fact that it is a good job that Gerrit Rietveld and Theo van Doesburg are no longer with us to witness this spectacle!

As a punishment I am having the biggest culprit when it comes to cheerfully ignoring sterling advice such as "less is more" and "ornament is crime" model this ensemble: Madame Amina Diavolo! It is making her unstructured blood curdle! hhhh

This was the first time Wyoming had it’s own independent team, as well as conducting the exercise virtually. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Cpl. Kristina Kranz)

Really and truly no comment! For once I am completely gobsmacked...

Another meeting with Ichtyo and his lady friend, whose name, sadly, I did not catch...

He does like the space suit, so I am really pleased about that.

Lots of very similar shots here. More for my benefit than anyone else's obviously.

The outfit comes with two skins, both Drow themed - one dark and one lighter, both with seashell tattoos; two vests, a somewhat sexy jumpsuit ;-), spur boots, the tentacled glow hair and of course the tentacled seashell train.

It took me a very long time to work this one out. Attaching sleeves to the vest alone took me the better part of an afternoon...

The hair is a heavily reworked Philips Replacement full perm object. Similarly, the shoes and the sculpty vest are reworked full perm items created by others. I have used eyes by AlterEgoTrip Svenska, who makes some of the most expressive eyes on the grid I think.

Once again, the entire outfit is skin based - and the skin is yet another skin modification based upon Eloh Eliot's templates.

A hybrid avatar by Alpho Fullstop - this one half moth, half human. Comes with male/female skins, wings, mohawk, arm braces and boots.

Amina has certainly taken her revenge upon me for having made her pose for the geometric de.stijl outfit! She has reverted to her unstructured style and designed an outfit based upon Miro.

This one too is unisex, with hip floaters, sandals, a little cresent moon to hide your derrirere and a headpiece. There is a PG and mature version to the female skin. Amina is posing with the one which is PG... Of course! ;-)

The new annex to Syncretia is almost all underwater. I have not yet started to really build it but I did make a free avatar for visitors. For men and women, pink for women, blue for men - so, call me sexist and stereotypical! The mohawks in all of these photos are, of course, by none other than the amazing Helena Stringer! And the school of fishes by Arcadia Asylum.

Representations that fall into the Uncanny Valley would not necessarily have to be mechanoid - or at least that is what I would imagine. Something which is humanoid yet clearly non-human, should also qualify. It would however have to have negative subconscious associations, such as a succubus surely must have. I am reading up on my Freud to see if I can find any substantiation for this claim in what he has to say upon the subject of the Uncanny.

So meanwhile, Flea Bussy's Smoke avatar comes with an entirely different shape and skin as well as hair. I kept the bald look and adjusted all the prims to Alpha's shape and size. And also made them semi transparent. The skin is Vry Offcourse's "Frail" skin.

This one is actually called the "Smoke Incubus" at Grendel's Children. However, since Alpha is female she cannot be an Incubus, only a Succubus.

poses by Frigg Ragu, obviously... ;-)

Note: I took these photos underwater at Poetik Velvets, which to my mind is one of the most amazing terraforming/ground texturing jobs I have ever beheld in SL. So, tribute is definitely due to Hern Worsley.

I am soooo totally beyond proud of myself: Ichtyo Broome is a really spectacular spacecraft designer. Apparently he knows wolfie through the aviation circles in Second Life and saw my S+R uniform on him. The other week he contacted me and gave me an order to design a spacesuit for him. Given what a remarkeble designer he is himself, I am tickled pink by this compliment to my design skills. And he made me a wonderful deal on top of the compliment: I get paid quite a nice chunk of L$'s AND on top of that he will give me 5 of his gorgeous space ship. Needless to say, I will be sharing these with my avatar family: Hack gets one, wolfie gets one, Mossy gets one and new friend, lovely Tschoanna gets one also since she too is a kick-ass pilot (unlike me... *sigh*)

So, tonight I had an in-world business meeting with my wonderful client Mr. Broome...

First we went to a cybersuit shop, so that he could show me what he had in mind...

Again, Alpho has designed this so that the outfit can be worn with or without the furry attachment. As usual this is unisex and comes with 3 cat t-shirts, an under garment, black jeans for men and a lace skirt for women. And then there are all sorts of toy accessories like a mohawk and a belt, as well as some lace cuffs and sleeves. Oh, and boots of course!

The skin is a modification of Eloh Eliot's "Starlight" and this is such a gorgeous template that Alpho has thrown in an un-marked version as well.

Amina is making up for all the time that I have not let her in of late. So, here she whipped out another one: This one is based on a cow pattern. Comes for both sexes. Men get a more sombre khaki, women lavender and pink. Many different skirts, belts, attachments, some hilarious cow shoes (which Amina re-textured) - all topped off with the amazing Phillips Replacement anime hair, re-textured to fit the theme.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a game published by Ubisoft. This image is taken with the in-game photo mode. I use an X-box controller connected to my PC and access the photo mode by pressing F3.

My recent visit to Karnak is still roaming around in my brain. So, here I am playing Alphshepsut (a thoroughly questionable reincarnation of Hatshepsut?)......

I was actually looking for something completely different in a sky shop when I stumbled upon this dress and really beautiful it is too. So, I took myself to the Egyptian temple at Themiskyra and did a little playing around being an Egyptian Priestess...

Photograph settings are SL defaults and was taken on site using mid morning setting. Surface patch and water were de-rendered and a prim with a library snow texture used underneath the statue.
