Some more wonders by Flea Bussy: A golem, a defender and a crawler. I shall be breaking them apart and combining them with "human" Alpha but they are so gorgeous as they are that I decided to photograph them in thier entirety first. Besides I need the fully non-humanoid avatars for comparison purposes anyway. So, these avatars are well differentiated into being non-human. As such they would have to fall outside the Valley threshold. But do they I wonder?
This is most definitely my one favorite structure anywhere in the metaverse. Putting anything near it/next to it is a huge challenge but I really take my hat off to wolfie: The S+R port really looks magnificent next to it.
And then of course, is the huge, white, blurry cube: Windlight, fog and the effects generated by that cube, which was apparently created by a gentleman named Gene Replacement really make for amazing photographs I think.
Held at Happy Daze Bar which was part of the Babylon 5 Roleplay which is still above the Delenn sim in Second Life.
Even MosMax can't figure this one out... There is absolutely nothing that can be done about it: The crow is resolutely silent.
Apophysis is the name given to a condition where your bones start developing protuberances. However, it is also the name of an amazing open sourced software, a fractal flame generator, which one can download from www.apophysis.org/. Amina used a texture generated in Apophysis, to create a rather opulent outfit for ladies and gentlemen.

Until they get their PR sorted out over there, I will have to put in a few photos here as well, I suppose. ;-)

"Padded", a dark and textured outfit designed by Grapho Fullstop, consisting of many attachments for men and women is now available at alpha.tribe:
Well, like I was saying to someone the other day, my brain is already fairly damaged so exposure should not do much further harm. Indeed, if anything, the cooling winds around the crevices may prove to be beneficial!
This wonder is created by Pandora Wrigglesworth... The steampunk ears and tail, on the other hand, are the work of Thomus Keen.
I have to say that I am a bit upset about how these turned out: Earlier this evening I was taking some screenshots for a very good friend of mine who will be joining SL, so as I was taking the shots I also included the interface items in the photo setup list. And, sadly forgot to turn them back off before I took these.
So, I had to crop them so that I got rid of the palettes I had floating all over the place and quite frankly out name tags we could probably also have done without.
So, we will have to repeat this little excursion and reshoot properly wolfiekiens...
Otherwise, as I already told you in-world: What an absolute stunner this is!!!
We seem to be outed: A lot of people seem to have already discovered the location of our shop, thanks to a wonderful blog post by Helena Stringer. So, although we still have a ways to go, here is the slurl to alpha.tribe:

The hair worn with this outfit is simply the best Mohawk in SL, I think. It can be obtained (as a dollarbie!!!) amongst the texture testers at Helena Stringer's store, the Mausoleum:

Syncretia/Citrinitas is an alchemical power plant which utilizes the water pumped from the Black Mountain for alchemical purposes. This water is cycled through the fairy chimneys at Syncretia/Cappadocia, after which it begins its long journey across the plains of the northern shore. The acquisition of alchemical properties is initiated during this phase: As it progresses the water gains in density. In the plant proper the water is further treated to the point where it can actually turn dross to gold! The two Hobo trucks inside the huge containers are currently undergoing treatment. One unexpected byproduct is a rejuvenating elixir! Sitting inside one of the spheres below the purification tanks can create wonders, not only in therms of appearance but also of state of mind!

Thank you Naxos, for showing me!!!
:-)
And thank you pallina60 Loon, for providing this!
(Naturally, it all looks much better with one of Mescaline Tammas' sky presets. This is one of the London ones, always forget the number, for some reason)
It seems that one needs something to go between the camera and the avatar to achieve a sense of depth. So, I added some disks that wrap around me.
Light is another big worry. Spotlighting certain areas to achieve focus that is... I am not sure whether this can be completely resolved in-world or whether one really needs to attack the image in photoshop with the old levels. (Like I did with this one here).
Tomorrow I will try some more complex stuff. For now, this gives me an idea as to what I need to do next.

Truth be told, I initially made this avatar precisely for this purpose - for the sim, to take photographs. The idea to release it as part of the alpha.tribe collection came later...
So, here they are, my contradictory avatars. ;-)

It would seem to me that the ocelot skin does not work as well. This is not someone that anyone would crawl under the table from. I think she is too close to human since the golden color of the skin does not differentiate itself sufficiently from human skin tones.
The 3rd Church was founded in 2007 by Hardwarehacker Hoch and MosMax is a true believer. In fact his religious zeal caused him to build a chapel on Klein for his daily worship needs and where he also kept a chicken for undoubtedly deep and meaningful ritual purposes... (hh)
He has built a huge place of worship at the island of Die Angewandte. I go from time to time to check on progress and to take photographs - in Windlight....
