Project by Stephen Jack, Michael Khalil, Nicholas Verdos. Using the Wii-mote and Nunchuk motion sensor, buttons and joystick, the player controls the beat (tempo), loudness and commencement of the orchestra. By "pointing" at different regions of the virtual orchestra with the joystick, the player can foreground the solo violin, horn section, percussion or woodwinds according to priority in the musical score playing. It gives the player a chance to experiment without different outcomes by manipulating the musical response in varying ways. It is not a literal translation of the conducting experience but provides a realistic simulation of the notion of interpreting the music with dynamic results. This project was developed in the Interactive Sound Studio 2008 University of Sydney.

La Cueva del Puente, está situada sobre el cañón que el rÃo Najerilla ha ido tallando en las calizas mesozoicas sobre las que se asienta la población de Anguiano, de la que este curso de agua ha diferenciado dos barrios.
Sobre el puente que une los dos barrios de Anguiano que corta el precipicio labrado por el rÃo, se alzan como agujas unos estratos rocosos, salpicados de oquedades.
Algunas de ellas son simples abrigos, otras se extienden hacia el interior de la montaña prolongándose en estrechas tejiendo un interconectado sistema de cuevas.
La Cueva del Puente abre su gran boca ovalada mirando al este, horadando unas calizas bajocienses. Poco a poco, sus cuatro metros de anchura se van cerrando hacia el interior en un corto pasadizo que conecta con una sala de la que parten dos galerÃas que comunican con el exterior.
En las inmediaciones de esta gran boca encontramos también otras cavidades, situadas por debajo de ella, junto a la senda que da acceso a unas antenas de telefonÃa, en todas estas oquedades tuvimos ocasión de observar pequeñas formaciones de biopelÃculas y recoger también algunas muestras.
La zona interior más próxima a la entrada de La Cueva del Puente parece mantener una relativa humedad permanente y aparece salpicada de manchas de diferente consistencia y coloración y de variada textura, desde biofilms verdosos e incrustantes, hasta manchas verdes de textura aterciopelada a la que acompañan algunas formaciones gelatinosas.
Acompañando a éstas pudimos encontrar unas formaciones gelatinosas de color azulado morado que recolectamos junto a otras tres muestras de coloración verdosa y variada textura.
De izquierda a derecha y de arriba hacia abajo:
1- Biofilms de textura fibrosa en la Cueva del Puente , Geilteria sp, x200 contraste de interferencia; 2- Biofilms de consistencia mucilaginosa y pulverulenta, luz natural; 3-Biofilms de textura fibrosa en la Cueva del Puente , Geilteria sp, x200 epifluorescencia y campo oscuro.
4- Asociaciones liquénicas con Gloeocapsopsis ? x400 epifluorescencia y campo oscuro ; 5-Boca de Cueva del Puente; 6-Asociaciones liquénicas con Gloeocapsopsis ? x400 contraste de interferencia.
7- Centropyxis marsupiformis-kahli con Geilteria sp y Melosira sp x 400 contraste de interferencia;8- Melosira sp x 400 contraste de interferencia ; 9- Melosira sp x 400 epifluorescencia.
En la segunda cavidad, más estrecha y de menores dimensiones que las de la Cueva del Puente, hallamos unas formaciones pulverulentas verdosas y otras negruzcas liquénicas muy similares a las que se hallan sobre las rocas en los cañones de Castañares de las Cuevas, sus formas lobuladas y globosas llaman la atención y nos entretuvimos disfrutando del reportaje fotográfico que hicimos en ellas tanto con luz ultravioleta como con luz natural.
Dentro de todo el conjunto de biofilms estudiados, quizá sea éste el que presenta una mayor variedad de microorganismos con la presencia de cianobacterias filamentosas protegidas en gruesas vaina de carbonato cálcico que recuerdan mucho a las formaciones de Geilteria sp o Scytonema sp hasta otras agrupaciones coloniales muy similares a colonias de Gloeocapsopsis , que se entremezclan en algunas ocasiones con hifas en asociaciones liquénicas.
Pero quizá lo más llamativo de los biofilms de estas cavidades es la presencia de diatomeas coloniales filamentosas con aspectos de Melosira sp y otras discoidales que recuerdan a Coscinodiscus sp entre las que aparecen algunas formas ameboides tecadas, halladas también en otras cavidades que pertenecen al grupo Centropyxis marsupiformis-kahli
Los biofims tiñen con una variada paleta de colores y tapizan con sus texturas la entrada de muchas cavidades, haciendo de ellas obras de arte viviente.
A pesar de la poca extensión de las biopelÃculas que recubren la entrada de las distintas cavidades que pueden encontrarse en el macizo rocoso de Anguiano, en el que se abre la Cueva del Puente, la gran cantidad de formas , colores y texturas de las mismas, hacen de este emplazamiento uno de los más ricos y biodiversos hallados en la Rioja.
En estas biopelÃculas las cianobacterias dan lugar a formaciones liquénicas junto a pequeñas poblaciones de musgos y masas cianobacterianas de diferente textura y composición entra las que se desarrolla una buena representación numérica de diatomeas centrales y de amebas tecadas del género Centropyxis.

El jueves 22 de octubre, con la presencia del embajador de Estados Unidos, David Nelson, se realizó el evento final del concurso empresas virtuales de Desem, que contó con el apoyo de la embajada de Estados Unidos.
Al evento asistieron los 8 equipos finalistas, que participaron de actividades toda la jornada, compartieron almuerzo con el embajador y otras autoridades de la embajada y presenciaron la entrega de premios al equipo ganador.
Los tres integrantes del equipo ganador, además de una bolsa con premios varios, se ganadon una Notebook de última generación, una gran herramienta para un futuro del que ya comienzan a ser protagonistas.
