Within the CAVE (CAVE Automated Virtual Environment), 3D immersive visuals can produce reactions similar to those people would experience in real-life situations. This lets researchers test behaviour in extreme situations in a safe context.
Virtual Enterprises International and WISE held the summit in New York from April 4-7, 2011 and was sponsored by New York Life Foundation, Deloitte, HSBC and McGraw-Hill Education. Students competition included the National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) and Global Business Challenge (GBC). The NBPC challenged Virtual Enterprise students from across the country to demonstrate their global business expertise through written business plans and oral presentations. It showcased the best practices, rewarded excellence and allowed high school students to apply sophisticated knowledge and skills attributed to business professionals and college students. 19 teams began the competition with the winner announced on the April 7th at the Trade Fair. The GBC competition tasked students to work in multinational teams to identify the challenges, opportunities and risks involved in a global business by examining a business case styd. After 2.5 hours of analysis and deliberation, teams presented their findings to a plane of judges.

Designed by Gunpei Yokoi, the Virtual Boy was intended to display “true 3D graphics” via a headset with two monochrome displays. The Virtual Boy’s 3D effects were not the same as later 3D capable consoles. Virtual Boy games were often essentially 2D, having players switch between a few preset “distances” from the camera rather than actually allowing full 3D control.

236 camisetas de 18 temáticas diversas relacionadas con la políticas, los grupos sociales, o las parodias de marcas comerciales: Kalashnikov, Gernika, Bukaneros, Peineta, Guillotina, Monalisa, Ramones, Mickey Mouse, Mac Donalds, Superman, Mantén La Calma, Sidra, No, Abbey Road, Camarón, Breaking Bad y Maradona.
En mis 22 exposiciones ”reales” con fotos de camisetas impresas en papel expuestas al público en la universidad, ayuntamientos, salas de arte, librerías y centros educativos y sociales, se ve que por cada (pocos) visitante a estas salas, ha habido en internet miles de vistas. Esta desproporción, que va en aumento, hace entrar en crisis esta convencional forma de difusión artística, por ineficaz, cara, e insostenible (en mi caso), por lo que este trabajo es pues, producto de la necesidad más que de la experimentación.
Tras los falsos documentales tan de actualidad ahora en el mundo de la comunicación, le llega la oportunidad a las exposiciones de arte de poder trasladar el arte popular de las camisetas al interior de nuestro primer museo; muchas de ellas fotografiadas en los últimos años en manifestaciones que trascurrieron delante de sus mismas puertas. La realidad virtual al alcance de cualquiera, muy alejada de las gafas 3D y todas esas complicaciones tecnológicas tan caras.

The Virtual Autopsy Table is a unique new medical visualization tool that allows people to explore the inside of a human body. With its intuitive gesture based interface, the Virtual Autopsy Table totally changes the way users interact with volumetric medical data. Multiple users can interact collaboratively and simultaneously, working with large and complex data to gain deeper understanding and insight into the functions and processes inside the body.
The Virtual Autopsy is already utilized successfully to complement conventional autopsies. It dispenses with the need for invasive surgical procedures allowing medical experts to see things that would be difficult to discover with traditional methods. The technique is also used in other areas of traditional health care such as pre-surgery planning, other types of examination, education etc.
The table can also, for educational purposes, be used in education environments and in public institutions such as museums, Science and Technology centers.
The table is developed by the Interactive Institute in collaboration with Norrköping Visualization Center and Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) in Linköping, Sweden.
