A closeup of the galaxies in Markarian's chain. Luminance data only.

I wasn't happy with this shot, I rotated the camera to get a better framing but was too lazy to refocus, and paid the price. I have applied several iterations of Peter Shah's star removal action and a couple of high pass sharpens to force sharpness onto the stars but it's not the same as getting your focus correct from the off!

Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster. It's called a "chain" because, when viewed from Earth, the galaxies lie along a smoothly curved line. It was named after the Armenian astrophysicist, B. E. Markarian, who discovered their common motion in the early 1960s[1]. Member galaxies include M84 (NGC 4374), M86 (NGC 4406), NGC 4477, NGC 4473, NGC 4461, NGC 4458, NGC 4438 and NGC 4435. It's located at RA 12h 27m and Dec +13° 10′.
At least seven galaxies in the chain appear to move coherently, although others appear to be superposed by chance.[2]
This is a morph of Virgo women combined together to make a typical Virgo woman. Nothing out of place, typical features, nothing too large or too small, natural beauty.
I was fairly stumped as to what I could do for Virgo the virgin. Here he's trying to figure out what everything is for :oP

November 17, 2007. This is a monologue show by a comedian, who called me after my lukewarm review and read me the riot act for not understanding his play and failing to "get it" (as did three other of five reviewers). I hung up on him after 20 minutes of verbal abuse.
Run this same shot of Virgo constellation using the program called Unimap, even though the software is still in Alpha mode, its amazing and identified all the Deep Sky Objects!
From my college 'Connected Images' exam work, based on the Western Zodiac.
I have been having some trouble with monitor gamma lately, so if the colours don't seem right then let me know; hopefully I'll be able to get them sorted!
Dates: August 23 - September 22
Model: Coist
Comments and critique always welcome (:
This time i drew the lovely Virgo from Fairy Tail. She is my Favorite celestial spirit, maybe because I am a virgo...but nah I just really like her character.
I hope people who can read japanese can understand the bubble. >_<
Messier 87 (also known as Virgo A or NGC 4486, generally abbreviated to M87) is a supergiant elliptical galaxy in the constellation Virgo. One of the most massive galaxies in the local universe, it has a large population of globular clusters—about 12,000 compared with the 150–200 orbiting the Milky Way—and a jet of energetic plasma that originates at the core and extends at least 4,900 ly, traveling at a relativistic speed. It is one of the brightest radio sources in the sky and a popular target for both amateur and professional astronomers.
