We had Cabin #2 at Twin Lakes State Park for a week beginning on Sat 12/24 and checking out on Sat 12/31, 2016. The floor plan of these Cabins appears to be the same as the older Cabins at Douthat State Park and Claytor Lake State Park, including the screened in porch. Here is a view of the living room and dinette table.

Natural Tunnel State Park

Here is a side view of that new three bedroom cabin off to the left as you come down the road to these three cabins.

International Mountain Biking Association Groundbreaking Event at Pocahontas State Park.

On July 20th, 2013, James River State Park held their annual summer festival, complete with canoe and duck races, a Super Soaker challenge, a silent auction, bouncy houses for the children, a fishing clinic, a canoe race, etc. Families visited with SPCA dogs waiting for adoption, children made tie-dyed shirts, and lots of hot dogs and hamburgers were sold at the event.The festival was attended by people of all ages, from the baby eating up her first ice cream cone to senior citizens enjoying the beautiful weather.
