La Torre Arcobaleno si trova a Milano, vicino alla stazione ferroviaria di Porta Garibaldi: è alta 35 metri, è stata costruita nel 1964 e nei suoi primi anni di vita non era ancora nota come “Torre Arcobaleno”, dato che serviva semplicemente come serbatoio per l’acqua da destinare alla stazione. Negli anni Ottanta la torre perse la sua funzione, iniziò a deteriorarsi e si pensò di demolirla. In occasione dei Mondiali di calcio del 1990, giocati in Italia, si decise invece di ristrutturarla: fu rivestita con piastrelle colorate e solo allora prese il suo nome attuale, Torre Arcobaleno. Dopo i Mondiali la Torre Arcobaleno si è nuovamente deteriorata, perdendo molte delle sue piastrelle. Da alcune settimane – e anche grazie a Expo – la Torre è stata un’altra volta ristrutturata: i lavori sono costati circa 100mila euro e hanno permesso di sistemare le circa 100mila piastrelle di 14 diversi colori che ricoprono l’esterno della torre.
The Torre Arcobaleno (Rainbow Tower) is a recognizable mark on the city and emotional landscape of Milan, capital of fashion and design. Founded in 1990 by a group of companies that transformed an anonymous water tower at Porta Garibaldi into a colourful tribute to the creativity of Milan, the Tower has been re-stored and returned to its original splendour. The project, designed by the firm Original Designers 6R5 Network and implemented by Baz-zea-B Construction Technology, Condor, Row Solutions, Mapei and Marazzi, is a tribute to the people of Milan and to Expo 2015 visitors. The Torre Arcobaleno is a renovated symbol of the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Milan, now under the eyes of the world thanks to the Universal Exposition.

Eccoci alla meta, un anno è passato , il mio progetto concluso !
Nato per scherzo è proseguito con interesse mio e di voi tutti che costantemente mi seguite, devo ammettere che sono davvero orgogliosa di come si è evoluto.. molte cose in questo anno sono cambiate, ho iniziato a postare su 500px, ho aperto una pagina su Facebook e la prossima settimana avrò un sito tutto mio.
Un ringraziamento a Carlo, meoca63, il mio compagno, in questa mia grande passione che è la fotografia, ma soprattutto nella vita ...sempre presente, paziente e amorevole.
Un saluto a mia figlia Chiara , che è tutta la mia vita e che tra sei mesi mi darà un nipotino/a ;-))
Un ultimo ringraziamento a tutti i meravigliosi amici di Flickr che sempre mi hanno sostenuto e in special modo a Stefano, Tastino0, con cui condivido la passione per le street .

Here the goal, a year has passed, my finished project!
Born as a joke continued with my interest and all of you who constantly follow me, I must admit that I'm really proud of how it has evolved .. many things have changed this year, I started posting on 500px, I opened a Facebook page and next week I will have a website of my own.
Thanks to Carlo, meoca63, my partner in this my great passion is photography, but also in life ... always there, patient and loving.
Greetings to my daughter Chiara, who is my whole life and that in six months will give me a grandchild / a;-))
A final thank you to all the wonderful Flickr friends who always supported me and especially to Stephen, Tastino0, with whom I share a passion for the street.

I don't know what this is. I know I want to start photographing daily again and I'm not sure of what to do. A 365 is a little bit too much for me right now, and 30 days seem... short. I might not have time to shoot on weekends. So I don't know. I'm just going with the flow here.

For the 4th of July I had an incredible opportunity to shoot from the 40th floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, in San Francisco. My buddy Michael Shainblum and I had 5 cameras timelapsing the whole time. I have tons of shots to go through still need to get some sleep! Here is one frame to get you started, one shot no compositing. Hope you all enjoyed your evening!

The yellow dwarf gave me the traditional drowsiness, warming me from the East, banding together with your soft way of driving. What a brightness and confort, and what a disaster of copilot. Suddenly, I jump into action and say an enthusiasthic good morning, receiving your always kind reply, already knowing that I was going to fall sleep again soon. This temperature in November does not help in the task of waking myself up for the winter season. The land is dry because of the drought, although the summits are slightly snowed and the trees have a beautiful orange colour on their leaves. Marvelous forests are hiding in the north-east of Andalucía, the land of does and stags, funny sheeps, wild boars and eagles. The Little cat and dog, Eustaquio and Leopoldo, guided us to secret places in where we could see the nature in it purest state. How insignificant are we in front of mother nature, and how acquiescent is she with us. Safe at your side, we walked around Sierra de Cazorla, meeting the date of my twenty-fourth birthday with, beautifully, no sorrow. Lovely environment to make decisions, discover new features on the night sky and wave a goodbye, for the moment, to the stage of discovering the land in where we were born. Half of the way, my dear. Let continue to the summit.
