Badaling is about 1 hour from Beijing. We were lucky. It was soooooo cold that there was virtually nobody else there. Stunningly beautiful and breathtakingly cold. This is within one of the watchtowers. How the snow got in I'm not sure but I loved the timeless quality of the scenery.
