Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland
A different view of the castle. I'd been warned so I knew that between 9am & 6pm you are not allowed to fly a drone near the castle but I have to commend the owners for not putting a blanket ban on drones. I suspect this way people are more likely to obey the rules and come early or late like I did.
Again I hope to reshoot this in Oct or March and think sun set may be better. It is an epic view though!

The fascinating & beautiful ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, UK, provided me with a glimpse of the city beyond through one of its remaining windows. One can only imagine how glorious this abbey must have been before it was destroyed!

View of the centre of the Belgian town of Ypres. Actually the town is in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium and there the name is Ieper - but the French name of the town were made quite (in)famous during the First World War.
The view here includes the Cloth hall (Lakenhalle van Ieper or Les Halles aux draps d'Ypres) originally built in the 13th century and St Martin's cathedral (Sint-Maartenskathedraal or Cathédrale Saint-Martin) begun in the same century, to be finished in 1370. Both these building were more or less completely destroyed in the First World War and the buildings you see now are (very well done) copies of the originals (the cathedral built in the 1920s and the Cloth hall 1930s-60s).
Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery is a Zen monastery of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen lineage located in Dai Dinh town, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province, about 85 km west of Hanoi. Along with Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Dalat and Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Yen Tu, Truc Lam Tay Thien Monastery is one of the three largest monasteries in Vietnam.
View form Trail Ridge Road (highest continuous paved road in the US reaching elevation of 12,183 feet), Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Driving on this road is little nerve wrecking, but in the end rewarded by breathtaking scenery. Changing elevation takes you from tree lines to alpine tundra which has very fragile ecosystem. Weather up top is ever changing and highly unpredictable.
If you like 'architectural' views, go to Greenwich, London. Here, inside the loggia with its majestic colonnades of the Old Royal Naval College.

The stunning view from the top of Reinebringen mountain - the best view in the Lofoten Islands, I’m told, and I can believe it.
