The Koreans that we saw in Zhangjiajie, Hunan were carrying unbelievably large videocameras. I couldn't tell if they're old or just fashionable.

In April 2004, three mates and I spent 10 days traipsing across a remote part of Fiordland National Park on the Dusky Track. On six of the days we had either snow or rain - the above image is the only even slightly decent photo I obtained from the entire walk! Still, it is by far the most amazing and enjoyable tramping trip I have ever done.
Weather wasn't the only reason for the lack of pics. At the time I was going through a video-making phase, so the above was taken with the photo mode on a handycam. Due to the limitations imposed by carrying my existence on my shoulders for 10 days, lugging along a second camera was out of the question.
This photo was taken on Day 3 whilst we remained snowed in at Lake Roe Hut - viewed towards the Pleasant Range (definitely not living up to its name when we were there). The next day we spent 9 hours battling our way across the range to Loch Maree Hut - the first 1.5 km took 2 hours alone!

The video camera at left (Canon HF S100) captured the going away shot. The middle camera (Canon HF S200) caught the approaching wide view and the camera at right (Canon HF S100) shot the zoomed in view up the Peoria sub.

Violet plays with her rocking chair and her balloons until she notices that I have the videocamera out. Then she must come see the videocamera.

PR guru, Jeremy Pepper talks to Justin Kan. Here is another tip: When you talk to Justin the first time, it is very unnerving. Your eye stares at his camera instead of him.
