I left this one to soak "so to speak" - having come back to it, I do like the various lines in the scene - some more obvious than others that brings depth to the scene

Was curious to see what a vertical crop at CP-CAPITOL would look like, and I realized I had a later frame of 98 that would work for that purpose. I'm partial to horizonal photos, but in terms of highlighting the important elements of this shot I think this does well. For those who opt to shoot here, the chainlink fence is tricky to deal with as you need to open the aperature wide and just shoot through it. Redundant shot, yes, but good luck ever seeing a P42 here again! The normal route for 98 involves a left turn up the Washington Terminal just behind the rear of the consist.

Press 'L' for lightbox mode, it should fill your screen.

This was from a recent walk across the bridge one early morning.

For him, the existential question of God, experienced as an invincible question, is evidence enough of the presence and reality of God. “When all our mind is aglow with the eternal ques- tion like a face in gazing on a mighty blaze, we are not moved to ask: Where is God?” No, in that context we ask “Where are we?” and are moved to confess that “God is more plausible than our own selves.”

Una buena idea, pero....

Si no le dan seguimiento, no le asignan un presupuesto y no le dan mantenimiento constante, pues se mueren las plantitas.

Nearly vertical walls of Wyoming’s Sheep Canyon tower over BNSF’s Laurel to Denver priority freight on June 30, 2024. The train is passing milepost 414 between Spence and Stucco north of the crew change point of Greybull on BNSF’s Casper Subdivision.

I was exploring some leading lines drawing the eye to the Torres del Paine granite spires. In this shot I choose a vertical format, standing in a small fresh water spring leading to a little reflecting pool and from there to the saline Lago Amarga and onto the vertical lines of the Torres del Paine granite spires. Digital blending, 3 exposures. Some color processing to give that "blue steel" feeling. More shots using this technique in my Digital Blending Set.
