A new venture by Go-Ahead London called Kent Country stated operation on Sunday 26th October 2025 taking over the Orpington to Dartford operation of route 477 from Arriva Kent Thameside. Three ex-London SE's had been refurbished at Hants & Dorset Trim and featured this striking new livery.

Venture LK641 in the entrance channel to Macduff, just about to make the left turn into the harbour. Built in 1991 at the James N. Miller & Sons yard at St. Monans, Fife. Likely one of the last built there as the yard closed a year later.
The latest Enviro 400 to be repainted by Nu-Venture has been outshopped in the later Maidstone Corporation colours.
A very smart DE486 LK08 DXY "Maidstone Musician" is seen on Tonbridge Road, Barming whilst working SDO route 588 to Oakwood Park, whilst following closely behind is DE404 LJ56 VTD working SDO route 554 to Huntsman Lane. Thursday 6th July 2023.
Previously Nu-Venture owned Leyland Titan T857 wore these colours in 2004 for the 100th anniversary of Maidstone Corporation.

Up and out railfanning early on an August Friday morning and found Amtrak 302 just at sunrise.
The charger was expected but the matched train of 5 Venture cars was a nice surprise.
The short haul corridor trains around St. Louis have been a mix of Horizon, AmFleet and Venture cars so seeing a complete trainset was interesting.

Nu-Venture 785 YX10 BCY is seen outside Mereworth School waiting to depart on route 151. Saturday 5th June 2021.
On Saturdays every other route 151 journey is extended from Kings Hill to Mereworth in order to connect with route 7 so that journeys to Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells can be made. During the week this connection is possible via route 77.

The ship is loosely inspired by S.S. Venture form Peter Jackson's King Kong. It's about 75 studs long. And it doesn't float. :-)

I often photograph Gates Road when I want to get away from the house but don't want to venture far. The road takes an odd jog at the railroad tracks, which requires all these signs. Part of the oddness is that Gates both continues across the tracks, here, and also makes a right turn before the crossing. The straight-ahead branch soon ends. After a couple hundred yards the road's "main" branch turns left and crosses the tracks. Again, I suppose you could say.
I took a similar photo in October. In that photo I'd already turned the corner.

A shot of the business end of a stern trawler. I was intrigued by the big stone block on a rope. Presumably it's there to add some weight to the rope but then you wouldn't want it coming loose and hitting the new steelwork.
