I found this allotment when I was walking on the coastal footpath. It's carved into the land and has no access for vehicles, so everything must be taken there on foot. What a beautiful place to grow vegetables. HFF!

.... I don't understand why it's for the garden ... I photographed it in a vegetable garden, so I think it's edible, not just ornamental.

Love this garden so much - Thank you, Kynne Llewellyn, for letting me use it! ♥♥
One of the most fun plant families to shoot, this is Dill in one of the Master Gardener's plots at the community gardens.

STYLING FOOD ON A FORK IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
On my walk along the Schwarzwasserbach I passed through this very traditional hamlet - just a couple of houses - called Wäldele near Hirschegg.
The older farmhouses were built in a very dark wood.
Happy Fence Friday!

The Jataka, which means ‘birth’ in Sanskrit, are short tales or episodes that tell of a former incarnation of the pre-enlightenment Buddha. They have the quality of fables through which some moral example is demonstrated. Typically, the Bodhisattva appears reborn, usually in the form of an animal.
Il y a 3 ans, tout juste 3 ans. Une époque où l'on n'avait jamais entendu parler de Covid-19…
De quoi apprécier un week-end au Château de Versailles !
3 years ago, just 3 years ago. A time when we had never heard of Covid-19...
We enjoy so much this weekend at the Palace of Versailles!
Pottering about in the delightful, small herbal patch of the Deacon's Garden next to the Hermitage, one of Amsterdam's fine museums, this Starflower reminded me of my youth. Hot bruises would be treated with thin slices of cool cucumber, and Borago smells and tastes like that wonderful vegetable. We would be warned to handle the growing fruits of cucumber in our vegetable garden carefully because their own bruising would turn them bitter-tasting. Whether our Grey-spotted Boxer Hoverfly needed bruise solace I don't know. The male - this is the female - has slightly thickened forelegs, hence its common name, elaborated from the Latin. And obviously it's here after Sweetness and not Pollen.
One of my favourite places to spend time is the St.Kilda Veg Out Community gardens which unfortunately, are still closed to the public.
As I wandered past there the other week, I was delighted to see an abundance of lady birds on the beautiful Borage, growing in and around the fence, allowing me to get a capture of these beautiful little guys as they went about their day.
A delightful chive flower in the veg garden in the car park.
I didn't know it, but the flowers, like the stems are also edible.

This is part of our vegetable patch which has been left to grow wild this year. It is covered in buttercups and other wild flowers I don't know the name of!
Rünkhofen is a hamlet where life seems to have stood still, at least if you look at the beautiful old houses and the brook running right through the middle of the place.
To me this photo depicts a simple and happy village life: growing your own vegetables and flowers, lines to hang the washing on, an old church, small communities where people still know their neighbours.
