Seen behind the Phoenix building next to Save On Meats back in 2010. Sadly the mural has since been painted over.

This old building in the 3500 Block of Commercial Street in the Cedar Cottage area has been empty and abandoned for as long as I can remember. The folks at Heritage Vancouver posted some photos recently and the building is known as the Broadhurst and Whitaker Block and dates from 1910. I've always known the place as Cedar Court. Sadly the old building is pretty far gone now and a new development is planned for the site. But retention of the original facade could be in the works!
The second church in the center of the village is much older than the Protestant temple, just seen. It was erected within the 12th century und was used by the Protestant parish after the Revolution until the new temple was completed. At that time Saint Martin was already pretty ruined, soon after parts of the vaulting collapsed, but it got restored from 1860 - 1865 and is in good condition.
