My wife sent this card to me in 1999 when she was at a Christian retreat centre. She wrote, "I miss you." On the window sill is a card I sent to her together with photographs of us at an Old Time Music Hall event, our three children and the three grand daughters she never saw; she died fourteen years ago – I miss her too.

Barring exceptions, perhaps speaks for itself as general commentary on long-term " taken for granted " relationships and mariages?

My friends filled out this card for me at school. They find themselves very funny... thankfully so do I!
Thank you to all my Flickr friends who have commented on my photos since I joined back in 2003. I am grateful and very fortunate to have so many of you who have taken the time to critique my photos. I appreciate each and everyone.

it's almost valentine's day, everything is pink and red and cute and heart shaped, everything's pretty in february, especially here, the sun is out, the cherry trees rain blossoms onto my hair
I know I'm super behind, but here is valentines day. It was lovely, first time I had a valentine. Me and Tom went to dinner and then just spent the evening watching our favorite show and eating chocolates.

Vintage postcard, no. 3. Collection: Didier Hanson. Translation title: Love in the snow.
Another rare vintage postcard from the amazing collection of our friend, Baron Didier Hanson. Postcards with images from a bit strange but very imaginative past. Thanks again Didier, for sharing them with us.

just a snap across the street on this morning of V Day, now it is already evening and having tasted fine champagne and shiraz mr valentine brought to us I can't be fussed to get any other shots.
it was fun observing young folks today, girls dressed just that tiny bit livelier and anticipatory, guys looking "I am on a mission" and slightly stressed, couriers carrying flower deliveries to funky offices ..
.. and may I just say, this amazing song is written in the 21st century, can you believe? I can not
thank you Paul
It's all been happening on the Wheelock Rail Trail today. Valentines Day and everyone's loving the outdoors.
Making the most of the late winter sunshine were ramblers, joggers, runners, riders, dog walkers, cyclists and the odd amateur wildlife photographer.
