La leggenda del Ponte Gobbo:
Secondo una antica tradizione, il maligno contattò san Colombano, promettendogli di costruire il ponte in una notte, in cambio della prima anima mortale che lo avrebbe attraversato. Il santo accettò. Nella notte, il diavolo convocò vari diavoletti che lo aiutarono nell'opera muratoria, reggendo le volte del ponte. I demoni erano di statura diversa e così le varie arcate del ponte uscirono di dimensioni variabili. Al mattino, il diavolo si appostò all'estremità del ponte, per esigere il suo compenso. San Colombano gli mandò un cagnetto. Il diavolo, turlupinato, se ne tornò all'inferno, non prima di avere sferrato un calcio al suo manufatto, che da allora è anche sghembo.
Il ponte nell'arte:
Studi recenti sul paesaggio (2015), condotti dallo studio piacentino Bellocchi, hanno validato, attraverso una ricostruzione in 3D e altre verifiche tecniche, la ricerca di Carla Glori (pubblicata nel 2011) che identifica la Gioconda in Bianca Giovanna Sforza sullo sfondo di Bobbio, essa figlia primogenita legittimata di Ludovico il Moro, moglie di Galeazzo Sanseverino e Signora di Bobbio, Voghera e Castel San Giovanni; le risultanze della verifica effettuata supportano l'ipotesi che il ponte dipinto da Leonardo (alla destra di chi osserva e sulla sinistra della celeberrima Gioconda) coincida con il Ponte Gobbo di Bobbio, collocando il punto di vista presso una finestra sulla facciata nord-est del castello Malaspina-Dal Verme.

Nuvole basse, vento e pioggia sottile, meteo di un giorno dall'atmosfera un pò speciale anche se malinconica.
Tutto questo, nell'ultimo giorno da residente quassù, una scelta dolorosa ma inevitabile, prima che la lunga notte autunnale mi inghiotta per tante, troppe ore.

On the day of November 1, in 24 hours of torrential rain, the river level had risen fearfully, receiving contributions from other streams located upstream.
Looking at the width of the riverbed, one can guess the impressive tide of water that fell.
Twenty-three days later, is once again a placid blue creek.

Nella giornata del primo novembre, in 24 ore di pioggia torrenziale il livello del fiume si era alzato in maniera paurosa, in tutta la sua larghezza, ricevendo il contributo di altri torrenti posti a monte.
Impressionante la massa d'acqua caduta, che si può vedere nel video del link sopra indicato
A distanza di 23 giorni è tornato ad essere un placido torrente blu.

At sunset here, where the last cultivated fields share immense natural spaces with an intact and multiform spontaneous vegetation.
Here along the ridge between two valleys, a procession of low clouds travels east-southeast, towards the Ligurian Sea, while at high altitude the winds play with the clouds, drawing a beautiful sky.
Qui gli ultimi campi coltivati condividono spazi naturali immensi con una natura intatta e multiforme sotto l'aspetto vegetale.
Qui lungo il crinale tra Valtrebbia e Valnure, una processione di nuvole basse viaggia in direzione Est Sud Est, verso il mar Ligure, mentre in alta quota i venti giocano con le nuvole, disegnando un cielo bellissimo.

They are all days, spent on the banks of rivers or streams of my homeland, during all seasons, fishing, swimming or taking photos. The link with this is very strong, although once it overwhelmed me with strength and great fear.

There was an evening when strange clouds took over the valley, like in a movie. I was on the bridge in my countryside and other people stopped to photograph this strange spectacle, which then ceased with the arrival of a thick fog.
C'è stata una sera in cui strane nubi hanno preso possesso della valle, come in un film. Io ero sul ponte del mio paese in Valtrebbia, quando anche altre persone si sono fermate a fotografare questo strano spettacolo, poi cessato con l'arrivo di una fitta nebbia.

On Sunday, snow had returned from 500 metres above sea level in the Apennine mountains and I could not miss such a long overdue opportunity.
I went up to 1200 mt where there is a forest road that is closed to traffic in winter. A wonderful place to get around on skis or snowshoes. Powdery snow ranged from 25 to 50 cm.
Lovely afternoon, finished on snow until after sunset. Meet only just two hikers girls, a Roe Deer and filmed a very long and recent track of a lone wolf on another nearby road.
Domenica era tornata la neve dai 500 metri di altezza in su, sulle montagne dell'appennino emiliano; occasione imperdibile.
Son salito ad un passo a quota 1200 mt dove inizia una strada forestale che in inverno viene chiusa al traffico. Un posto ideale dove muoversi con sci o racchette da neve. C'erano dai 25 ai 50 cm di neve farinosa. Rimaso lì fin dopo il tramonto.
Incontrate due escursioniste, un capriolo e filmate una serie infinita di impronte di un lupo solitario "stampate" su uno strato di rigelo notturno smollato durante il giorno (temperatura +1.5/2).

I went back to the creek to see his state of health; levels are low after a dry winter with no rain and few snow.
But I like it all the same; I haven't seen fishes, still standing due to the great cold of these days, but I have seen the first mayflies come out of the water and the mountain swallows eat them.
Sono tornato sul torrente per vedere il suo stato di salute; i livelli sono bassi dopo un inverno secco senza pioggia e poca neve.
Ma a me piace lo stesso; non ho visto pesci, ancora fermi visto il grande freddo di questi giorni, ma ho visto le prime effimere uscire dall'acqua e le rondini di montagna cibarsene.

My picture and featuring by Claudius II.
A year ago, I was taking this photo in the Apennines in the upper Trebbia Valley. You can see conglomerates of the Earth's mantle, in fact a remote magma, with next to it a bush of Ferns, a real remote plant relict that has survived till our days. All this had fascinated me to the point of sharing privately, this photo with Claudius. He also loves images that intrigue and move the thought. Since we have known each other, I have always recognized his gift as a visionary. When he returned the photo to me, with his personal “imaginary vision” of that moment, I was amazed and admired. I propose today that photo revisited by him, because it's a concentrate of landscape reality with traces that come from a remote past and where his visionary intuition, combines present and past in a coherent and reliable way, like a beautiful 1:1 scale Diorama.

C'era una volta
Un anno fa, scattavo in appennino in alta Valtrebbia questa foto. Si vedono conglomerati del mantello terrestre, di fatto un remoto magma, con accanto un cespuglio di Felci, vero e proprio relitto vegetale sopravissuto sino ai giorni nostri. Tutto ciò mi aveva affascinato al punto di condividere in privato, questa foto con Claudius. Ama anche lui immagini che incuriosiscono e muovono il pensiero. Da quando ci conosciamo, gli ho sempre riconosciuto la dote di visionario. Quando mi ha restituito la foto, con la sua personale rivisitazione di quel momento, sono rimasto stupito e ammirato. Propongo oggi quella foto, perchè è un concentrato di realtà paesaggistica con tracce che arrivano da un passato remoto e dove la sua intuizione visionaria, unisce presente e passato in modo coerente e attendibile, come in un bellissimo Diorama in scala 1:1.
Spero vi piaccia, come a me piace quella zona della alta Valtrebbia, regno di fauna selvatica e che meriterebbe di diventare un vero e proprio Parco Geologico.
