...but the vacuums do!

I never understood businesses leaving inventory out front after hours.

Some unidentified piece of an attachment on an otherwise gray vacuum cleaner on display at Costco as an alternate take on this week's Macro Mondays theme, Red.

.. but I think it's not the right place for him yet ..

I came across this antique Electrolux Model G sitting in a vacant apartment-gotta shoot that.

Made as an entry for this months SBC-challenge over on Swebrick. This months piece was the CMF baseplate, which I have come to resent a bit...haha! Wanted to make another "rela-life-scene" after my vacuumcleaner, and went with a lounge-chair as my starting point. Used the CMF-pience for the base of the chair and the sidetable, as well as for the "artwork" on the wall. Hope you enjoy it!

To be fair John's no stranger to housework but I appreciate it more when I'm not feeling 100%. Besides that I thought it'd make a good halfway through my 366 picture :)

I definitely have the dreaded lurgi :)

We're here visiting Domestic Archaeology

Horace and some of his chums were sauntering through the village on their Christmas works outing when their attention was drawn to a commotion in the pub car park.🎉🎉

Airing on the side of caution they took to some high ground and watched in aw as there in the car park was Betty Beswetherick and Mrs Trebogus performing their version of the ‘Gangnam Style’ dance, to the song ‘Love Shack’ by The B-52s, not a pretty sight.👯‍♂️

So as not to shock you the viewers we had to omit the ladies from this photo, and of course vacuum cleaners were locked away as Mrs Trebogus is somewhat attracted to them as you all know.😱🚑

Where has this year gone, it is hard to believe it was a year ago that Horace stood on the steps of St Enodoc Church and addressed the people of Flickerland with his Christmas speech.⏰🐷

Time and tide wait for no man: We have always believed that life is for living and enjoy every moment.😂😂😂

From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you all enough for the comments, views, faves, and general banter we all have here on Flickr.

You have heard me say it before but I will say it again, a smile costs nothing, but it enriches those that receive it.😁😇

As for the stories, whoops reportage, well in amongst the poetic licence there are so many situations that are absolutely true. For that I thank all the characters that I am so lucky to bump into when out and about, including the person who had their phone number tattooed all the way up their arm, yet when said number was phoned it was unobtainable, ouch.📞📱☎

I always feel so privileged when I go out that the beautiful playground of Cornwall is on the doorstep and it is such an inspiration for me to capture and share with you all.🌞

I will leave you to enjoy the festivities, and I will see you in January 2020.🎉🍷

It just leaves me to say have a wonderful Christmas, a very healthy, happy and peaceful New Year. 🎄🎄🎅🎅🍻🎉🎉😇

Strobist: SB700 Speedlight on floor with snoot pointing at Vermeer; SB24 on tripod to the right of the sofa; Yuongno 560II hung on wall above subject. Optically triggered by partially obscured on camera flash. Dyson with newly cleaned filters. Before that it jolly well had lost suction. Did I mention I hate housework?

Monchhich-chan wants Monchhichi-kun to wipe the floor with the a dust-cloth after she's done with vacuuming. ;-)

Believe it or not - was listening to Steely Dan when I shot this

This is taken looking across Snow Hill from the oddly named Gothic arcade. In the background is the fine cast ironwork and glass of the old Snow Hill station. As can be seen a number of shops were let into the sub-rail section of the building and Reid Watt Ltd were one of these, a neat little Ford van is outside. In the days when car engines wore out quickly a rebore would be done and larger pistons were needed, Hepolite being one of the top names for new pistons and Reid & Watt a Birmingham supplier. Parked in Gothic Arcade is an early Vespa scooter, its little 2 stroke engine must have been stretched with the large top box and boat sail sized windscreen.

One wonders why Peter was in Gothic Arcade, perhaps he too that large upright vacuum cleaner in to be repaired? We will never know.

Today the side of what passes for Snow Hill station is a green wall and the space between it and the new Snow Hill buildings is occupied by the West Midlands Metro, you won't get you vacuum cleaner repaired here now.
