Still in place, over six months since I first snapped it. I had a closer look this time and it seems that the dash has been partly dismantled (glovebox and centre console missing), but aside from that it all looked in quite good condition. The body looks good too, so I hope this eventually re-finds its original home, or is taken on by someone who will put it back into use.

The winner of "best in show" and my favorite of the day, an absolutely beautiful mk1 on bags with a 24v VR6 in a shaved bay. The paint looked like it was dripping wet and the work inside and out was just amazing. The owner did the work himself and deserves all the credit and attention he got.

Being a VR6 model, it's quite an unusual choice of car for a conversion, I would have thought.

This was very sad to see, as this is in very nice condition aside from the damage, but I can imagine sourcing parts for a Corrado would be rather costly in Greece, so this one seems to be abandoned.
Russ' Mk2 Jetta is the January page of the 2011 SDOBBINS Photography VW/Audi Calendar!
Russ’ Jetta is hands down one of my favourite cars in the US scene right now. Plain and simple.
It’s hard to put my finger on just one detail though, because Russ’ Mk2 is the perfect combination of all the right bits. From the perfectly-fitted 16x9” BBS RS’ to the Rallye front clip and chrome VR6 bits (care of Mr. McCoy), the beautifully-trimmed interior to the perfect amount of smoothed-ness, inside and out, all the boxes are ticked.
I had the pleasure of shooting Russ’ Jetta for the October 2010 issue of Performance VW while I was in Georgia for Southern Worthersee. Just as McCoy mentioned while we were first seeing the car the night both of us arrived in Atlanta, “you just don’t get an appreciation for how well the wheels fit and how low it really is until you see it in person.”

Designed by J Mays and Herbert Schafer the third generation Volkswagen Golf was introduced mainland Europe in August 1991 and into the United Kingdom in February 1992. For the first time, an estate was produced, being launched in early 1994.
The hot hatch Golf GTi was introduced with a 16v 2 litre engine with power up to 150 PS. The GTi remained a popular choice despite no longer being the most powerful car in the Golf line, but it did have the advantage of offering a classic hot hatch performance without the thirst or tax
The larger V6 powered VR6 was introduced in 1992, powered by a 2792cc V6 engine of 170hp and a top speed of 150mph. and was produced until 1998. In 1994the 2.8 litre VR6 was joined by a more powerful 2851cc VR6 with 187bhp and a top speed limited at 155mph, the two version of the VR6 were both produced until 1997 when the larger engined car was dropped.

If you don't mind indifferent build quality then there is still something to get excited about finding a new Guisval VW Golf VR6. They have of course been making this casting for decades but usually with some kind of rally livery so for me its the first time ive seen it in a totally stock looking colour.
The mold clearly looks as though its passed the end of its life and paint finish poor but I would still happily buy everything Guisval makes just to see them survive! Found recently in Spain. Mint and boxed.
