Nous revenons d'un beau voyage d'une semaine en Guadeloupe.
Vraiment de beaux paysages, cascades, sentiers de randonnées,
jardin botanique et zoologique. Location de Voiture presque obligatoire.
Tropical dans les montagnes coté Basse Terre.
Ici, vue de Deshaies.

The photo was clicked a long time back, in 2009, with my Lumix FZ8 and has been uploaded earlier but this is a wider perspective. The Lumix camera might explain the colour which is no match to the one Canon produces. But, nevertheless, love the old world charm of this shot and it brings back memories. I did go back to this place a few times with the Canon in hand, and though there were no changes in the scene, I never could find the kind of light I had for this shot.

I watched the inauguration today (...who didn't?!) and I'm feeling a fresh surge of hope for the world. President Obama is a smart cookie -- he knows he's got a tough journey ahead. I wish him all the luck and support he deserves!
I don't remember the last time I've took a plane with my mother. This flight was just four months ago. We were smiling underneath those facemasks.

Experimenting some more with the 'pool of light' effect — it works well with the naturally rich tone of the leather and old maps. Processed with a touch of vintage, in Snapseed.

Alençon possède une gare. Et depuis et vers ses entrailles convergent et se croisent des centaines de destins différents chaque jour.
Observer de loin ces destins a quelque chose de fascinant.
Voyez, par exemple, cette personne-là revient certainement d'un voyage dans le merveilleux pays de l'Abstraction ! :-))

Marine Building in Hibiya district, downtown Tokyo.
As its name shows, shipbuilding companies have their headquarters in this building. Two propellers and perspective of the atrium are symbolic of the voyage.
Miraba hacia arriba mientras remaba en esa vieja barquita desvencijada y le preguntó, ¿a donde han ido las estrellas?. No mires al cielo le contestó él, las estrellas que buscas están aquí mismo bajo el agua y solo bajo la luz de la luna llena las puedes ver.
Suena absurdo pensó ella, como han podido caer desde tan alto y ocultarse en el fondo del lago sin que nadie se diese cuenta, mientras miraba su cara intentando adivinar si era cierto lo que decía o simplemente bromeaba...
