Vicenza Middle School hosts its Grand Bazaar Jan. 22, transforming the whole seventh-grade wing of the school into a Middle Eastern market for the day.
After researching the background history, geography and local products of a designated country, more than 80 seventh-graders displayed their colorful, culture specific wares.
Italians students from a middle school in Malo, about 10 miles northwest of Vicenza, experienced the bazaar while visiting the VMS as part of their annual cultural exchange program.

Vicenza Middle School instrumentalists and singers pull out all the stops in year-end performances highlighting their musical accomplishments under the direction of music director Eldon Kirkhum and pianist Ciriaco Colella.

More than 200 family members and friends attended the year-end performance at the middle school, which included vocal arrangements ranging from Tomas Luis de Victoria’s high Renaissance Mirabile Mysterium to Victor C. Johnson’s contemporary Will You Teach Me? and instrumental pieces including
Normandy Beach,Ancient Voices, It Don’t Mean a Thing and Sing, Sing, Sing.
