Stockade Lake is the largest of Custer State Park's five lakes and boasts the most amenities for campers with three campground areas that between them, can accommodate any size camping option from large RV to tent camping to those looking for a camping cabin. Stockade is also the only lake in Custer State Park that allows all boats. This beautiful lake also has a swimming beach, hiking trail, playground, group area and fishing. Stockade Lake also sits near some historical Black Hills points-of-interest and campers will find nearby the Gordon Stockade and the site of the first gold discovery in the Black Hills.

Well one step forward and 2 steps back.. This is my first attempt to do a little video since the seizure and it took Jane's help and a lot of trial and error to get it done and I'm still not satisfied with it... The picture was created in MidJourney from a little limerick that I had written and the video part created in Movavi software.... Playing time 1 min 21 sec

Early in the morning, the weather was amazing. A beautiful sunny day for the beginning of the fall
But the fog appeared very quickly and i spent hours and hours in front of that rock waiting for the right time to shoot and get my picture...

A practise at time lapse the other day. There's an annoying dust spot in the sky but otherwise worked out not too bad.
Mist and Paddy playfighting ... this sort of goes on all the time until Paddy feels like a bit of 'teeth chasing' is in order ... and goes to find the Elk to annoy who uses obliges with the set of teeth!
First video i've done on the camera after finding the button then this clip turned out at 320MB .. how to compress it?! ... eventually managed this down to 10mb's but quality is rubbish ... there must be a better way! ... and the quality and execution is rubbish.. but the immense fun comes over!

"For those aboard the Greg Mortimer in Montevideo, desperation is setting in, crew members told the AP.
The Antarctic cruise set sail from Argentina on March 15, after a pandemic had already been declared. The ship''s physician, Dr. Mauricio Usme, said that when the first passenger fell ill, on March 22, he was pressured by the captain, the cruise operator and owners to modify the health conditions that had to be met for the ship to be admitted into ports.
Dr. Usme refused. The boat anchored in the port of Montevideo on March 27.
More than half of its passengers and crew tested positive for COVID-19. Finally, on April 10, 127 passengers, including some who were infected, were allowed to disembark and fly home to Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., Canada and Europe. Crew members were told to stay on board.
The doctor was hospitalized in an intensive care unit in Montevideo, along with a Filipino crew member, who later died.
"People are exhausted and mentally drained,” said Dr. Usme, now recovered and back on the Greg Mortimer. “It''s a complex situation. You feel very vulnerable and at imminent risk of death.”
