I was wrong... they're not waiting for the crane to be removed before expanding the front of the building to Grace Street. They will remove the crane at a later date. (The crane services the Square Apartments, it is not used in construction of the VCU Building).

One panel of the the medical mural by George Murrill. The work was commissioned by MCV President, Dr. William T. Sanger for the waiting room of the A.D. Williams Clinic. When the clinic building was demolished, the mural was restored and moved to the new medical school in the McGlothlin building on the MCV campus of VCU.

A cartoon drawn by Dave Morrison, Cabell Library's building manager, humorously explains the purpose of the group study room "campfire" table. The "campfire" table is designed to provide an experience similar to sharing ideas visually on a napkin while brainstorming.

Infrared is a tricky game. Especially when it's cloudy outside. And rainy.
I recently had one of my cameras converted full time to infrared.
I had a 590nm Filter installed by Kolari Vision.
I did some minimal post-processing, channel swapping and fiddling a little with the hue/saturation.
Seriously... there is no more fun way to immediately void the warranty on your camera. ;-)

More work on the footprint of the seven-story VCU building. Next to it is the beginning of the 11-story Shafer and Grace Apartment building. The floors for the basement and first level are poured; the second floor is being prepared for concrete.

The VCU Academic/Office building (English Department, I believe) has reached its maximum height. Two weeks ago, it was still a basement!
