The other week, I had my camera sent off to void the warranty and have it converted to infrared with a 590nm filter by Kolari Vision.

I've had it back for three days now, and this is the first day with no clouds. Please bear with me as I learn to tweak the colors and such. :-)

These photos are color swapped and infrared. I could improve them even more if I had my 50 or 60D convertated. ;-)

More work on the footprint of the seven-story VCU building. Next to it is the beginning of the 11-story Shafer and Grace Apartment building. The floors for the basement and first level are poured; the second floor is being prepared for concrete.

Together with Air Methods Corporation, VCU Life Evac providesinterfacility transfer of critically ill patients for areas that have previously not had this transport option available to them. And in cases where seconds count, more efficient transport service could mean the difference between life and death.

VCU Life Evac transport is a joint effort between the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and Air Methods Corporation. All flight crew members have a background in emergency medicine and critical care and have undergone intensive, specialized training to become flight team members.

Officials approximately 600 flights per year, serving an approximate 100-statute mile radius.

Infrared is a tricky game. Especially when it's cloudy outside. And rainy.

I recently had one of my cameras converted full time to infrared.

I had a 590nm Filter installed by Kolari Vision.

I did some minimal post-processing, channel swapping and fiddling a little with the hue/saturation.

Seriously... there is no more fun way to immediately void the warranty on your camera. ;-)

These photos are taken from the fifth floor of the parking garage next to the VCU and Grace and Shafer apartment building. The walls around the basement of the VCU Building seem to be finished, and gravel has been poured into the pit. Once spread out, I expect they will pour cement over that. I'm unsure how the crane fits into the project.

ICA at VCU

I love VCU. It's located on two downtown campuses in Richmond, VA. This is my favorite tee shirt for FGR today. I'm so proud that the VCU football team is undefeated. Of course, the reason might be that they've never had a football team.

VCU Ram Horn installation... these photos were taken some time ago before I had a DSLR. I happened to be walking to my office and stuck around for a few minutes snapping photos with my phone.
