Happy go-lucky VCU students

The Cycling Club @ VCU was raising some money at the Watermelon Festival by peddling through this heat. They were dripping pools of sweat when I took this picture. I cannot imagine how they were at the end of the festival.

Infrared is a tricky game. Especially when it's cloudy outside. And rainy.

I recently had one of my cameras converted full time to infrared.

I had a 590nm Filter installed by Kolari Vision.

I did some minimal post-processing, channel swapping and fiddling a little with the hue/saturation.

Seriously... there is no more fun way to immediately void the warranty on your camera. ;-)

Richmond claims the first electric street car system in the world, running from 1888 until 1948. Now the Greater Richmond Transit Company is building a Bus Rapid Transit system called Pulse over some of those same trolley car streets. The BRT route will run 7.6 miles, from Rockett's Landing in the east to Willow Lawn shopping center in the west. Pictured here is the Virginia Commonwealth University/Virginia Union University station. This station and several others will not be curbside, but are located in the middle of the street.

Virginia Commonwealth University is an urban university in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. There are about 34,000 part time and full time students.

I apologize for the contrast ... I had changed positions and was no longer shooting into the sun, so I over-compensated for shadows.
