U.S. and host nation members gathered to witness the assumption of command of V Corps by Lt. Gen. James L. Terry from Brig. Gen. Ricky D. Gibbs Jan. 10 in the Wiesbaden Fitness Center. U.S. Army Europe commander, Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, oversaw the change of command.

Frederick Hitch, VC, blue plaque, Cranbrook Road W4, Chiswick, London. Hitch, of Rorke's Drift fame, was played by David Kernan in the film "Zulu". He became a cabbie in later life and, after his death, was buried in St Nicholas's Churchyard, Chiswick (AKA Chiswick Old Cemetery).
The sleek lines of the Vickers VC-10, the last solely British Built Airliner, designed in the early 1960's first flew 29 June 1962 so this year will celebrate its 50th Birthday, many still fly but not in commercial service but with the Royal Air Force

as i dont have a nice capture im going to start with a drawing of mine. this is a sketch i made for an art exhibition. was sold for $100 to the state minister. =) so thought of showing it to all my flickr buddies....
ps; this was the first chance i got to draw for an exhibition as i didnt study art in secondary school.
