Callum is helping me restore my big sister’s old vintage dolls, and this poor thing’s hair is just one huge knot! (He has such a nice utility sink in the Laundry/Kitchenette in Dasha’s garage where he lives. It makes such a great work space, I think I have laundry room envy!)

Two Massachusetts State Troopers assist with traffic control during the funeral services of Trooper Thomas Clardy. Trooper Clardy, of the Massachusetts State Police, was killed in the line of duty when his patrol vehicle was struck from behind while on a traffic stop.
The Ford Explorer Utility on the left is fully marked whereas the one on the right is unmarked. I found it interesting that the MSP still put the reflective chevron decals on the rear of their unmarked vehicles, also.

True to its name, the Utility served a variety of roles and was a common sight on the rails of the Great Steam War, often found repairing damaged track, clearing obstacles, or salvaging wreckage. Despite its sluggish movement, it was occasionally used in strategic combat roles; in offense or defense, it could deploy torpedoes or mines respectively.
Vision slit technique downright stolen from Lemon_Boy.
I watched for an hour or so but these fixtures stayed still.
We're Here & we're wondering, is this a still life?
Although this looks more like a fire engine, it is actually a sanitation vehicle and the oldest surviving municipal vehicle in the Netherlands.
At the beginning of the twentieth century this Bikkers was used by the local authority of Amsterdam to clean building façades, advertising columns and other street furniture. The steam engine provided the propulsion and also fed the pressurised steam hose.
It is a typical utility vehicle in that no thought was given to comfort. The workmen were not protected from the elements; there is no windscreen and no roof. The car’s front wheels are wooden discs and it has solid tyres.
Nevertheless, the vehicle was produced by a manufacturer of fire appliances, A. Bikkers & Zn. in Rotterdam, whose history dated back to 1783. At the end of the 19th century, Bikkers was even able to claim the title of supplier to the royal household. In 1905 the company produced the first Dutch fire engine, which was also steam-driven. Bikkers closed down in 1983, 200 years after the company was founded.

For that damn tree that someone places RIGHT in the middle of the fairway just about 220 yards off the tee. The 17th hole at Plantation Golf Course in Boise, Idaho comes to mind.
