///Log Entry\\\

After rendezvousing with Zach back on the upper levels of Coruscant, he gave us our next assignment. It seemed that our coordinated strikes on Imperial and Futurist targets had been a success, so much so that the remaining Imperial troops in the sector had begun to flee. Seemed like the mighty Galactic Empire was not so mighty anymore.

Zach sent Hozz to track down some troopers that had made their way into the city’s sewer system, and he charged me with retrieving plans for a new Imperial base on Mimban. Our intel gathered from Survivor sympathizers on Coruscant indicated that a camp of Imperials had taken the plans with them when they went into hiding on the outskirts of Coruscant. Fortunately, we had their current location narrowed down to an old industrial complex.

Now that the Imperial Barracks in the Northeast docks were abandoned, I made my way back there and commandeered a Trexler Marauder. A half a rotation later, I was at the site of the old industrial complex.

The complex didn’t seem to be very heavily guarded -- the Imperials’ numbers were getting thinner. A single guard stood outside of my way in, an old maintenance entrance. After concealing my ride, I carefully made my way through all the vents, dischargers, and heat sinks covering the top level of the industrial complex. As I got closer to the entrance, the guard noticed me and opened fire. Blaster bolts whizzed by as I kept walking. What was an E-11 rifle going to do to my beskar?

The stormtrooper standing guard seemed to panic as I came closer and closer. His blaster fire ricocheted harmlessly off my armor, and as he continued to fire, I stepped right in front of him, drew my blaster, and put a bolt straight through his plastoid. Stepping by his now limp body, I opened the door, only to see a room full of officers and storm troopers gathered around an astromech with their weapons drawn.

That day, my beskar saved my life for the third time.

Too bad the stormtroopers couldn’t say the same for their cheap plastoid armor.

I retrieved the plans from the astromech, and hurried back to meet up with Zach and Hozz. We were finally ready to get off of Coruscant.

This is my entry to round 3 of the Survivors RPG Galactic Battles: Riots on Coruscant tournament. I’m competing with Hubba Blooba in the final round.

I’m pretty happy with how the build turned out, especially the greebling! I think it’s one of the best greeble jobs I’ve done so far. I also enjoyed posing the figures and getting that 3L trans red bar to rest just in the right place. Hope you guys enjoy!

56098 approaches Wards User Worked Crossing east of Ketton, working 5Z13 08.15 Old Dalby - Hornsey EMU Depot. It was returning ETCS test unit 313121 to Hornsey after testing at RIDC Melton. 313121 is sandwiched between translator vehicles 64707 and 64664, former class 508 EMU driving motor cars. [Pole, nearly 5/6 sections (~6.5m)]

This was a very rare mainline outing for 56098, which became the shunter at RIDC Melton (Old Dalby) during 2021 (as the long-term replacement for Anglia Railways-liveried 47714). It carries early 1980s BR Railfreight livery (a grey version of the popular "large logo" scheme), albeit without the "Railfreight" logos on the cab sides. It is earmarked for the Class 69 Programme.

Finding somewhere to photograph this working with a decent sun angle was not easy, unless you went south of Peterborough and under the wires - it was just too early for the sun to be far enough round at all the popular locations. A chance meeting with other photographers (all pole users) at Biggleswade Common for the second Caledonian Sleeper of the morning suggested this location; none of the photographers had actually visited, but, in theory, it looked promising. Thanks to them for the suggestion!

Of course, we all wanted to be in position in plenty of time for the class 40 tour to Great Yarmouth, so didn't want to go too far south... And I was pleased I didn't go to the Huntingdon or Offord area, as 56098's engine shut down (it was quickly restarted) and the train was put into Conington Loop for a while - meaning I would probably have missed the 40 in my first choice of location.

On the right hand side of the river, which is East, one can see evidence of the horrendous wildfire called Holiday Farm/McKenzie Fire. Looks like some charring on the left side (West) too, just not as bad in this particular spot. Thousands of acres are still not under complete containment as I write this (morning of October 6, 2020, and the fire started September 9th, (Labor Day).

The *soul* of this for Dave C. and other Flickr friends too, is my daughter and granddaughter lost their home miles west of this spot, and a friend completely lost her home a very short distance (almost shouting distance) east of this river.

Another Incredible Nebraska Skyscape. Beautiful July ambient light, against a dying thunderstorm. Nope it's not severe but it's what I do when the light is right. Plus, I was super sick... A few days away from being forced into the hospital. I'm better now, and thankful.. that's a story to come!

I honestly took extra time on these captures. I was using a new filter on my new lens. So no added color or any adjustments to the image in Photoshop on this set. Now I had to bring them through Photoshop from raw... but that's it and of course the pano's are done separately.

Also... I only had one camera...for video that evening. Otherwise you would have seen this first storm cross over and you would have seen some sweet Nebraska thunderstorm views. Just to the east southeast. July Mammatus... these are just as sweet as this video... Just captures though...These have been added to this set.

It seemed the sicker I got, the better the photography I took... It was only about 10 days till I was forced into the hospital. I shouldn't have been out. But you don't get captures like this if you don't go try to catch them...

I was sick but had a blast, and what I caught was just Awesome!

When I first started using this camera I had a lot of trouble getting the hang on the winding on mechanism. This is a weird cross over triptych that I ended up with. Thankfully all three shots were taken at the same location so they all go together.

Been so busy getting ready for a spur the moment job that I wont be able to post to much over the next week or so. I will feel a lot better when I have my passport in hand at 5 today to say the least.

However here is a shot from July 1st when I decided to hike up Slacker Ridge to see if I could get above the fog. I got up at around sunset and couldn't see a foot in front of me. As blue hour started the fog started dropping and this is what appeared! Guess it was worth the hike.

I do still hate everything about this shit that is new Flickr and always will, but an inability to find another outlet for my work that is as easy for me to use as the Old BETTER Flickr was, has forced me back to Flickr, even though it goes against everything I believe in.

I don't generally have an opinion on my own work, I prefer to leave that to other people and so based on the positive responses to my work from the various friends I had made on Flickr prior to the changes I have decided to upload some more of my work as an experiment and to see what happens.

Just spent 2 full weeks in ICU @ hospital. Honestly, I was still not feeling the best... but I have this passion for lightning.

This storm was about 50 miles away tracking from Grand Island Nebraska down to the south near Hastings Nebraska. From my POV it was almost due west of my location. My better half... & I had a busy day and I was glad to be home after that little jaunt. Long day means early to bed. Though she hit the sack and I stayed up to check up on my storm chasing duties and what I had missed over the past 2 weeks...

All of my gear was charged and ready to go.. but I was under strict orders not to go out... but I did anyway. lol I had to sneak out to do so.

I just went out to one of my places I know for good open skies and took a few snaps with my new camera and lens. They didn't turn out the best due to I wasn't use to this new setup. Though not bad for not knowing the gear and of course I wasn't supposed to be out.

It all turned out good. I didn't get into trouble after I told her. Pics came out well for what I went through to get them here!

Paisaje Sur.
