The decision proces status widget is a nice feature of the parliament web site. However, it would be nice if these widgets would link to:
(1) Previous political processes, for instance the EU directives often leading up to proposals put forward by the Government. At present such info is only summarily mentioned in the opening phrases, and seemingly never linked to the actual processual documents of the EU Parliament and Commission. (example)
(2) Meta-presentations of decision processes and outcomes, for instance visualizations of e.g. decision speed, proces depth, thematic clusters and press coverage.
First and foremost, The Presidium of the Parliament might want to consider opening up the databases underneath the web pages. Once the data API is freed, data journalists would probably quickly provide the possible and necessary data integrations and visualisations for the public good.
