Upper

300mm x 300mm Aerosol and Posca on Canvas.

As before both sides were slathered and pressed together around bushing. You can't see plastic sheet separating the sides. I want to be able to work both sides separately and closing the bracket around the bushing/shaft might be easier than trying to press everything in place on installation.

Mike and I went for a "Sunday drive", including a hay ride at Porter's Patch near Navarino, Wisconsin.

I was young when I took these Yellowstone photos on the vacation where my love of photography exploded. At that point, I didn't always retain the names of all of the sights we visited. I had labeled this shot as Yellowstone Falls, but it is actually Upper Yellowstone Falls (which I didn't remember). I also didn't remember the really cool bridge that you can see in the background. The scan of the original photo was dark. Once I lightened it in Photoshop, the bridge was a pleasant surprise.

Joffre Lakes provincial park is a class A provincial park located 35 km east of Pemberton in British Columbia, Canada. A class A park is kept to its minimal development in order to keep its natural environment. It was established in 1988 for recreation purposes though for the enjoyment of the public. The three glacier-fed lakes located in the park are labelled as Lower, Middle and Upper Joffre Lakes. It is a popular destination for hikers in the summer and mountain climbers in the winter due to its scenic lakes, glaciers and challenging peaks. The rock flour in the water reflects blue and green waves, and gives the lakes a turquoise colour.

My second stop of the morning was over to Wells Falls. *Very* low water today. This was the only water flowing across the dam segment. Not my favorite shot ever, but it came out alright so I thought I'd post it.

Between the low water, slight drizzle, wet rocks, 30mph wind blowing up the face of the falls, and remembering how someone fell a couple weeks ago while climbing the 100' gorge wall a few hundred feet away, my survival instinct got the better of me and I decided against climbing down to the base. Works for me, since I was a bit short on time anyway and I wanted to get these processed before going in.

Off 5th Avenue. Fancypants buildings.

The Park as of the day of this posting. This years heavy rainfall has really caused an explosion of growth. I scouted the dear old mud walk trail and it would be invisible to anyone who had not traveled it repeatedly in the past. All things pass away but God is making all things new!

Rafting the Upper Gauley River in wild and wonderful West Virginia is bucket list adventure for any adrenaline junkie. It’s nicknamed the “Beast of East” for good reason and known worldwide a premier whitewater river. The wild ride drops more than 650 in 24 miles through tight channels that are swarming with boulders.
