Antithesis (Greek for "setting opposite", from ἀντί "against" + θέσις "position") is used when two opposites are introduced in the same sentence, for contrasting effect (Wikipedia).
It’s been decades since alleys have been utilised to access neighbouring shoppes downtown. I took a relative and his girlfriend downtown to show them both around. Needless to say, they were beyond impressed.
