Some time ago we found a little monster. It is much bigger than this image might suggest.
I left it alone, just flashed it a little to be able to capture this. I have no idea what's for dinner there.

Behind this skin
There's a face unseen
Her world is spinning out of control
As it closes in tightly, pushing her closer to the edge
Those around her,
oblivious to her pain

This little buttefly has perfect colors in the grasses, every color exept the green is there. I saw it while it was seeking for shelter.
So, where were we? The dark roof of this former office block. Still, we could climb even further, thanks to the building having an extended, smaller block for all of the gubbins. This was rather more precarious however, with most of its structure chipped away and some wobbly scaffolding holding us up.
As Michael did his usual worrying about being seen (from this distance!? In this darkness? At this time of night??), I took this shot over the larger roof area, looking out to one of the more residential parts of the town. It felt a little as if I was on an aircraft carrier or something.
If I'm not mistaken, on the upper left side of the shot, on the horizon, you can see the radio tower that was the subject of one of my very first photography trips. Way back then, I don't think I ever would have imagined I'd be on top of a building...
"When it comes to setting aside a little time each day to visualize,
look at it like this:
No matter how distracted you become or how confused you are
about the process, the simple fact that you gave your dream this time
and attention means you did it correctly, you did it long enough, and
that by the time you open your eyes, already in the unseen, huge wheels
have begun turning."

Bendecida ciudad llena de manchas,
plagada de adulterios e indulgencias;
ciudad donde las almas son de barro
y el barro embarra todas las estrellas.

"Artists Felix St. Fort and Gabe Tiberino have joined forces in a new mural honoring the Cecil B. Moore Freedom Fighters. Rather than focus solely on their namesake, this mural highlights the unseen women and young people behind this iconic 1960’s Philadelphia civil rights group. Under the leadership of the indomitable Cecli B. Moore, teens and young adults successfully desegregated Girard College in 1965. They got into “good trouble,” as civil rights legend John Lewis so famously called it."

the pattern held the street in place. shadows watched the glass. a woman appeared, lit by an unseen source. she held something white and soft. the reflection was a ghost.
Life is short, hence discerned to pause for a moment.
Some final notes are from an underestimated poet.
I wouldn't rely much on the few that don’t know-it,
Friends felt the thought without a doubt, also seen it,
Serene words in notion, as well as sensible in trivet.

There is a magic moment that exists between the end of day and the fall of night - in the Bornean rainforest this is signaled by the wailing of cicadas, with the deepening darkness abruptly revealing many things that were unseen in the light. Here, a cluster of Luminous Porecaps (Favolaschia manipularis) begin to show their innate greenish glow at dusk. It is believed that this bioluminescence plays a role in spore dispersal: in the still air of the rainforest understory these mushrooms gain and advantage by having wood-feeding insects (which are attracted to their light) carry the spore to new locations. "What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
I don't hear the word "weed" when I am photographing. I try to see the beauty regardless of the name tagged to a plant. I feel there is beauty all around that we often ignore and pass by. Oh, and HBW Part 2!
The imposing 54 mts high giant marble gate as the main entry to Fatehful Sikri, the then new capital of Moghul empire in India, was constructed by emperor Akbar in 1601 AD after the conquest of Gujrat.
On the main gateway an Islamic inscription written in Persian reads "Isa (Jesus), son of Mary said: 'The world is a Bridge, pass over it, but build no houses upon it. He who hopes for a day may hope for eternity, but the World endures but an hour. Spend it in prayer for the rest is unseen."
Verses from the Quran have been carved in the Naskh (script) along the top. These were drawn by Khwaja Hussain Chishti, a disciple of Sheikh Salim Chishti.

The pain in her heart remains in her eye
By the look on her face, she's ready to cry
Trying to smile but it just won't show
In her eyes I can see that she hasn't let go.
She's dying a little bit more each day
As she thinks of the boy who slipped away...
There are no possible words to explain
The hurt that she feels or the constant pain
The endless heartbreak has just begun
For this mother who outlived her only son
