1 - to access this you will have to remove the front fascia -- ALWAYS TURN OFF THE POWER AND DISCONNECT THE MACHINE FROM THE MAINS BEFORE WORKING ON OR AROUND WIRING --- That means unplug it and shut the breaker (if you can unplug). Always photograph to document your process. Before you remove any wires take photos and then label the wires clearly so you can return them to the right spot if you take them off.

(left to right) David Hurlin, Ed Raines, Steve McLain, Tim Duffy, and Kevin Riley of the Jefferson County Green Band welcome a new 7-foot tall member in a tutu, Carl the 80/35 Festival bear, during a set break at the final Ankeny Unplugged festival this year at the Band Shell (410 West First St) in Ankeny. The concerts were held weekly in June on four Saturday nights featuring great music, delicious food, vendor market, and fun for the whole family.

Of it's own accord my TiBook power adapter started sparking and generally catching fire. Fortunately I was around to unplug it. I went to the Apple Store in London and bought a replacement - £55! That's a lot for a power transformer in my opinion.

The later models have a reinforced flex at the cable entry point so I'm hoping it won't happen again.
