CEA were employed by CATERPILLAR Thailand to unload and transfer welding machines & other equipment at their UGM plant in Chonburi.
Assistant Yard Manager Virasak Sriboon began the project by holding a toolbox talk and joint hazard analysis (JHA) meeting with his teams.
Trucks and their cargo formed a queue and one by one pulled alongside a CEA 55 ton crane to begin unloading. The CEA team removed all lashing straps and attached the crane slings to the cargoes. The crane lifted the cargoes on to an awaiting 25 & 15 T forklifts. The forklifts transported the cargo to the Caterpillar storage area, a CEA banksman supervised all movements.
Day 2
CEA teams unloaded cargo crates from 40ft Containers at their respective cargo docks, a 3 ton forklift was used to place the crates on wooden pallets for easier storage, once again the cargo was transported to the storage area.
All scrap material left over from the project was cleared for disposal. Flat rack containers used in the operation were stacked on to one lowboy trailer. General housekeeping was carried out in the working areas.
All CEA equipment was demobilized and readied for transport back to the operations base in Laem Chabang.

Each barrell weighs about 400 lbs, so we simply roll them out the door, with 2 tires to cushion the fall.

This was the first visit from which everything grew. Here Mark o' Conner is unloading the mini bus (which was donated by Tameside MBC and given to the School), and Paul Chalmers is on the left. Paul has sadly since died. The man in the van is a Littlemoss school teacher, Stuart Hilton, who was the driving force behind the venture.

This sort of scene is very typical when we arrive at one of the remote airstrips. All the locals are waiting for us to arrive with the various supplies we're delivering.
people use their personal vehicles, pay for their fuel and devote a day to cleaning up other people's crap.

Our underwater bridge inspection team concists of seven part-time divers and one full-time diver. They all have other jobs within the agency.
The Amtrak timetable doesn't show checked baggage service available at Mendoa, Ill., but the Boy Scouts were allowed to stow some of their stuff in the baggage car. The Scouts are shown unloading their gear.

I shot this as the farmer empties the combine hopper into the field wagon. This is part of the harvest series for the fall of 2009, a year farmers won't soon forget.
The conductor hands out the hikers backpacks & gear at the Needleton, CO flagstop on the hiker's train. The packs got a nice ride to the trailhead in the vintage D&SNG wooden boxcar. Our hiking crew is on the far left by the pine trees getting the packs ready for the 8-mile hike into our base camp at Chicago Basin.
