A Bristlecone Pine reaches for the stars in the White Mountains, Inyo National Forest.
OK, coming clean, here. This is a composite with the sky auto-magically added in Luminar 4. Not perfect, but it's pretty convincing, especially considering the tree was photographed in full sun.

High res image of the moon, taken on 2025-11-02.
Taken via a telescope with 1295mm focal length using a camera with pixels of 2.4 microns, getting the moon at ~5700×5700 pixels.
To grab the entire moon a 2 oane mosaic was needed.

Theoretical results about the Universe suggests that we, like holograms, are made of matter and energy. One may say that from the Universe's quantum physics (black hole theory) perspective.. we 'are' in theory 'holograms' with spacial depth.
Hologram
The term is taken from the Greek words holos (whole) and gramma (message or letter).
Unlike 3-D or virtual reality on a two-dimensional computer display, a hologram is a truly three-dimensional and free-standing image.
Theoretically, holograms could someday be transmitted electronically to a special display device in our home.
The theory of holography was developed over 60 years ago by inventor Dennis Gabor in the year 1947.
The recent development of laser technology made holography possible.

I’ve had this image in the back of my mind for a few days now, and managed to put it together today in photoshop.
The cliffs were shot at Potter Point in 2018
The tree was shot at La Perouse around the same year.
The planet is a rock face, at Potter Point, shot it facing downwards from up on a cliff top, and warped in photoshop to create the planet.
Photographed myself sitting in my back garden a few years back.
A bit of fun, to keep sane during this strange period of our lives.

Hi flickr! I can not even start to describe how absent I´ve been on flickr lately. This is a community that I truly love, and I miss it whenever I´m away. This community has given me so many friends and heart-warming, thoughtful comments. I never want to leave this community, even if things in the outside world do get a bit stressful sometimes.
So, what´s happened to me lately? First of all, I had a demanding photography job this summer. I don´t want to go into detail, but it ended up hurting my self esteem. I never had an experience like that before, so it was all new for me. Now, I think that I can start seeing the good things that always comes out of something bad. I definitely have a lot of experiences now that may come in handy one day :)
The second thing is: I´ve finally been accepted at the school of my dreams! I will be studying for three years at the University of Gothenburg to get a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography!!!!! I had given up on this school because this year was the third time that I applied and I didn´t make it. This made me think about educations, and I realized that, in a way, it might be better for you and your personal style if you DON´T get an education, because an education will always try to make you go in a certain direction with your style. So, I was getting used to the thought of not getting any more education. But two weeks ago, I got a call from the school telling me that someone had dropped off and that they wanted to give me that spot. I got all shaky and it took several days before I started to actually believe that I was in! I am so happy for this because it´s been my dream for so long!
Well... I created this picture during my stressful summer. I needed to create something that could help me stand up for myself, and so I created this. I did the background dark, and put some stars in the picture. I wanted the whole universe to float inside of me, and be projected on the dress. What I want to say is this: There will always come a time when you HAVE to stand up for yourself, because no one else will. Remember that you are your own soul, with your own universe inside of you. It is important that you protect that soul, that you love both your brightest stars and your darkest black holes.
