Ex-Illinois Governor Blago closed the historic site where this cabin is located. Seemingly kind of a stupid move in the Lincoln Bicentennial Year. Probably nobody could come up with a bribe for Blago to keep it open.
The family and I went to the BiLo center in Greenville SC last night and saw Winter Jam. Winter Jam is a Christian concert featuring Newsong, Hawk Nelson, Brandon Heath, Francesca Battistelli, and Toby Mac.
I took the camera, and wished I'd had a longer lens. The 135 is just long enuff to get the stage, but no close ups and too slow.
This kid in the suite next to ours had this glowie light thingie. He was twirling it around and I took his pix. Mind you, it was so loud you couldn't hear if you shouted a foot away. I like the look on his face.

"A memorial stone inscription of the largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO. The stone is located in an open field at the north-west corner of the Temple. The national emblem of Indonesia (Indonesia's coat-of-arms). Garuda (a Javan Hawk-Eagle) displayed Or, clutching a scroll of national motto, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (from Old Javanese: "Unity in Diversity"). The emblem was designed by Syarif Abdul Hamid Alkadrie, the 7th sultan of the Pontianak Sultanate, Kalimantan Barat."
Borobudur, or Barabudur, is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist Temple.The monument consists of six square platforms topped by three circular platforms and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues each of which is seated inside a perforated stupa. It is the world’s largest Buddhist temple, as well as one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world.
Built in the 9th century during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty, the temple was designed in Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous cult of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana. The temple also demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflects India's influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian. The construction has been estimated to have taken 75 years and been completed during the reign of Samaratungga in 825. Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year, Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesak at the monument, and Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction.
