Early in the morning, the pilgrims winding their way up the mountains. Approximately 10,000 pilgrims make it in a day. The season lasts only from June 15 th to Aug.5th of every year. Nearyly 500,000 peoples make the trip. Including logistics providers, organisers, palkivallahs, godavallaha, and other, approx. 25,000 windup this route and another route every day.

The vibrant 'Biju' festival, the soulful celebration of the Chakma and Tanchangya communities in the Chattogram Hill Tracts, begins with the colorful rituals of 'Ful Biju' (Flower Biju). Observed during the final days of the Bengali year, the festivities bring a wave of joy across the hill tracts from the very first dawn. On this day, locals gather fresh wildflowers to decorate their homes and congregate by the riverbanks to float flowers on the water, seeking blessings for peace and prosperity. This floral tribute symbolizes bidding farewell to the sorrows of the past year and welcoming a new beginning with hope. Dressed in traditional attire, the participants express their deep reverence and gratitude toward nature through this sacred ritual, highlighting a unique and aesthetic facet of indigenous culture.

পার্বত্য জনপদে এখন উৎসবের আমেজ। বাংলা নববর্ষ ও মারমা সম্প্রদায়ের বর্ষবরণ উৎসব ‘সাংগ্রাই’ উপলক্ষে বান্দরবানে পালিত হচ্ছে ঐতিহ্যবাহী জলকেলি বা পানি খেলা। পুরাতন বছরের সব গ্লানি আর দুঃখ ধুয়ে ফেলে নতুন বছরকে পবিত্রতার সঙ্গে বরণ করে নিতে মেতে উঠেছেন পাহাড়ের তরুণ-তরুণীরা। একে অপরের গায়ে পানি ছিটিয়ে মৈত্রী ও ভালোবাসার বন্ধনকে দৃঢ় করাই এই উৎসবের মূল সুর। উৎসব কেবল মারমা সম্প্রদায়েরই নয়, বরং ধর্ম-বর্ণ নির্বিশেষে সকল পর্যটক ও স্থানীয়দের অংশগ্রহণে তা এক বিশাল মিলনমেলায় পরিণত হয়েছে, যা পাহাড়ের সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির এক অনন্য উদাহরণ হিসেবে ফুটে উঠেছে।
Ich bin mir bis heute noch nicht sicher, was ist Schau, was ist echt - glauben kann ich es einfach nicht, obwohl das Dorf ja existiert hat. Wenn es Schau war, dann eine gute und realistische. Der Tanz war natürlich organiiert, der Souvenirverkauf und eiiges andere auch - aber....
Wir haben auf der Reise durchs Land noch viele "Echte" Dörfer gesehen, dieses hier war wahrscheinlich für Touristen präpariert.

This scene is shot in Servalar Dam, situate in western ghats in Tamilnadu, India.
Water is stored in this reservoir and used for drinking, agricultural and for power generation purposes. Every drop of water is used judiciously.

This serene place is situate in a dense forest. The Forest is guarded by Tiger, Yes, the real tigers, not the striped variety. The place is know as Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve.
Our family hired a boat and crossed the reservoir to view a beautiful waterfalls, Thank God , we did not come across any tiger face to face , neither we see a Tiger swim or roam. On the way back , I picked up a , full length Snake's Shirt (Sheddings) (PAMMMBU CHATTAI) and brought home.

( As a socially conscious person, I always make it a point to teach my children and their children, the nuances of life, the darker side along the brighter side of existence. Also , i make them understand why many of our fellow beings see only Red , sometime fiery Red at the end of their day.)
