How sad. The pics I'm uploading suggest a solution for the cost of post-secondary education, but there's no desire for administrators to step out of their comfort zone to accommodate the fiscal realities of students. Universities will die, as perhaps they need to, in order to make way for the future of education.

  

The Immersive Technology classes at Heritage Christian Online School meet in a wide variety of 3D virtual spaces. There, they learn the academic skills that they'll need to use in their apprenticeships as scientists, journalists, archaeologists, astronauts, historians, etc.

Events like this are a boon to seniors, those suffering from PTSS, and even the handicapped. Imagine the joy of a legless soldier being able to dance with his wife again. Romance is a huge element of SecondLife.

In a newer version of this 3D virtual build, the area is filled with enough chairs to seat 200 participants. On my server, it could facilitate 1000 students.

 

Reinforcements (LEGO Lion Crusaders) arrive just as the last of the Landsknechts hold off an army of knights (Castle blue knights) and Black Falcon Archers using arquebuses.
