On Sep 23rd about 1,000 gay & gay friendly people gathered for a Unity Rally against Love Won Out coming to the desert.
Here's another with the butterfly and bees. However different these two insects are, i found it very interesting how they could live and work in complete harmony. I wish humans could be as understanding as these two here.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's work at Unity Island is made up of two separate projects that will remove invasive species and restore 10 acres of coastal wetland habitat. The restoration project is a prime example of a much larger campaign for beneficial use of dredged material in the Great Lakes region.

I made this card using Unity's "Note of Thanks" stamps. I embossed in white on Distress Watercolor paper, then I used Distress inks on an acrylic block spritzed with water and smooshed over top of the embossed image. (Technique learned from Laura Bassen's blog- Doublestick Heaven) Thanks for looking!
The Maryland Military Department celebrated Unity Day, an event designed to enhance cross-cultural awareness and promote harmony, Sept. 23, 2010, at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. The Maryland Military Department came together to recognize the diverse backgrounds and cultures of its members through the seventh annual Unity Day celebration at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore, Md., April 26.
Unity Day is an opportunity to observe the different ethnic backgrounds that make up the Military Department and educate the members on what makes each culture unique. This year’s theme was ‘Recognizing Diversity and Religion – one nation, many voices.’
