Near the final day of the Just Love Festival, we enjoyed our relationship with the Divine by playing Holi: the festival of colour. These colours symbolise the unity of Love amongst the diversity of its manifestations.

FLW was without doubt an architectural genius, but am reading a book about his Taliesin studios ("The Fellowship"), - he was wierd to say the least.

i realised when i'd done this that it doesnt follow any of the rules, and was gonna delete it and do another one... but then figured this is what came out, so even though its a bit different to what was intended... the spirit remains the same.

There is a building near my office that has a beautiful mural painted on it. This is just the center piece. Unfortunately, it faces a parking lot, and there were several cars in the way.
These have come out lovely, the epitome of X-Pro film style with lovely colours and that slight green-turquoise tint. I have boosted the saturation slightly at the scanning stage to accentuate this.

Unity Temple in Oak Park, a national landmark (1908). Unity Temple was one of the first non-residential structures designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright was a Unitarian, and agreed to help the Universalists construct a new church after their original one burned town in 1905. It was one of the first bipartite designs, where two sections of a building stand at different heights and are separated with a passageway. The lot for the Unity Temple was on a busy street, so Wright did not include any street-level windows. It's most important contribution, to architecture, however, may be its concrete exterior. Concrete was not viewed as a medium that could be useful in architecture, but it has since become the most important material and spawned the modernist movement.
Unity Temple is a Unitarian Universalist church in Oak Park, Illinois, and the home of the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation. It was designed by the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and built between 1905 and 1908. Unity Temple is considered to be one of Wright's most important structures dating from the first decade of the twentieth century. It is located at 875 Lake Street, Oak Park Illinois. Wikipedia.

I added this to literary groups because this was on a doorway to an alley in Mount Pleasant, MIchigan and it reminded me of the magic door in Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse.
KABUL, 14 September 2014 - Following the final decision-making session held today by Afghanistan’s Independent Election Commission (IEC) on findings from audited ballot boxes, the United Nations welcomed the completion of the nationwide audit of ballots cast in the country’s 14 June presidential elections run-off.
According to their respective mandates and responsibilities, the relevant Afghan electoral institutions will next hear complaints regarding the audit findings and certify and announce the final result.
“Today’s decisions mark the end of the supervisory role over the IEC-conducted audit which the two candidates requested the United Nations to play,” said the UN Senior Adviser to the IEC, Richard Chambers. “This particular role of the UN is over.”
The United Nations also extended its gratitude to the IEC for its efforts and cooperation as well as to all of the international and Afghan observer organisations and diplomatic missions which contributed monitors to enhance the transparency of the exercise.
The audit was part of an agreement reached by the two presidential candidates on 12 July which broke an impasse that emerged after the announcement of preliminary results on 7 July.
This agreement called for a complete audit of the results of the run-off, with both candidates committing to participate and accept the results of the comprehensive audit, while also agreeing to form a government of national unity. The agreement also called for the audit to be carried out by the IEC, in conformity with the Afghan constitution and laws, and with the United Nations providing advice and supervision throughout the process.
